Scaling off of the fact that I have SSJ2 Goku being about 35-50 thousand stronger than Ugohan from the buu saga and since Gohan smacked Goku in that state I put him around 50-80k times stronger than Ultimate Gohan from the buu saga. So I mean I think as far as where Gohan stands in terms of Goku we are kind of in the same spot but I don't think you give Super characters enough credit they are ridiculously outrageously more powerful than characterz in Z. I mean Base Goku/Vegeta can absolutely dominate SSJ3 Gotenks so that tells you how crazy the scale is. I believe that Blue is 2500x base so I mean that right there puts him over 2,000x stronger than Gohan in the buu saga.
It doesn't really make sense for them to be that strong though. Almost everything points to god tiers not being that far above everyone else. Frieza easily caught up, Gohan easily caught up, 17 easily caught up, ect.
Also it is implied fusion multiplier is actually above the SSG multiplier since base Goku>base Caulifa and Kale but base Kefla>SSG Goku. So I don't think SSG Goku from the BoG arc was that much above ssj Vegito, but I do think he is stronger.
Everything since the BoG arc points to base Goku and base Vegeta being massively stronger than all of Z and GT. Goku said that even Vegito couldn't stand a chance aganist suppressed Beerus, while SSG Goku matched that Beerus then absorbed SSG into his base and surpassed that since.

Also, this is Dragonball lmao. Characters make crazy jumps in power all the time. Base Goku in the beginning of Z had a PL of 418, by the time he fought Freeza on Namek it was 3 million. That's an over 7,177 times increase in just one year lol. Claiming base Goku can't solo Z is like arguing Raditz can't solo Early DB.

Boo arc top tiers like Bootenks, Boohan, Base Vegito & Super Saiyan Vegito are all superior to Ultimate Gohan. So the idea that Goku is stronger than the entire Boo arc in base doesn't hold water. He isn't even close to them as a Super Saiyan.

The highest Boo arc power that Goku eclipses in base is Super Saiyan 3 Gotenks. The rest out way out of his league.
SSJ Goku was holding back against SSJ Gohan in the farm battle. Characters can suppress themselves in any form. Do you wanna argue that Krillin is SSB level just because Goku used SSB on him?

Back in the BoG arc, Goku said that not even Vegito would stand a chance against suppressed Beerus, yet SSG Goku was able to match that version of Beerus. Goku would then absorb SSG into his base then surpass that level of power while fighting Beerus in base and SSJ. This shows that base Goku and base Vegeta >>>>>>> All of Z and GT easily.
The god power was absorbed into Goku's Super Saiyan and he was only stated to be stronger than SSG when he was the golden haired Super Saiyan aginst Beerus. To say his Base after BoG is >SSG is headcanon. If goku absorbed the power and surpassed SSG in his base then his new super saiyan would be 50x stronger than his previous SSGwhich is a dramatic increase. If it was a 50x increasse over SSG then it would have given Beerus more of a problem and it would have been made into a bigger thing. Instead, his Super Saiyan was stronger than SSG but not astronomically so. So like Goku in base would be just that new power that surpassed SSG(by maybe 20% ish??) and divide that by 50. So by my numbers Goku's base immediately after Battle of Gods was 450x stronger than his SSJ3 form in the Buu saga

I mean Goku absorbed the strength that he had in SSG to the point where his SSJ form became stronger than the SSG by a fairly significant amount. ( I personally don't believe that he "absorbed it into base" that would make his base much stronger than it actually is.)
I feel Goku's ssj form being that strong may of been temporary, as if it wasn't he should of logically been able to go ssj3 and get 8x stronger. And this goes double for in the movie since it was confirmed SSG Goku was 60% Beerus, so if ssj Goku was anywhere close to that ssj3 would of let him stomp Beerus. Also Toriyama said he wouldn't use ssj2 or 3 again, but he changed his mind. He also said Goku would never use SSG again, but he changed his mind. At his point I would just say after Goku lost SSG, that became his new MAX power. It just would seem weird that losing SSG would make him 8x stronger. I think it makes more sense to just say he kept the power.
This is the SSG who was creating ripples in the entire universe with Beerus.
Ya but that kind of thing never happened again, plus Buuhan was destroying the universe by screaming. I wouldn't really try to use either to judge anything.
Then, Freeza shows up in his first form and dominates everybody who has to be atleast around their buu saga levels.
Actually they were all weaker than their Buu saga selves, besides maybe Piccolo and Tien, but Piccolo was nerfed anyways since he was having trouble with Frieza soldiers. Gohan could barely go ssj and couldn't even go ssj2, so he should be below Cell, and Piccolo never proved himself to be above Cell either. Tien and Krillin still haven't proved to be above first form Frieza from the Namek saga so they are fodder. First form Frieza was probably somewhere from perfect Cell to Buu level.
Then, if the difference between his 1st to final form is the same, then he would be 113x stronger than his first form.
We don't know if the multiplier stayed the same.
Then, Goku comes along in his base and easily defeats this Freeza in his base form.
That was in the movie version, but in the Super version they were equal and we don't even know how much power Frieza was using.
Then he goes SSB on top of that which at bare minimum has to be a bigger multiplier than ssj3 which would have to be around 500x(me personally I believe it to be 2500x base). The training the two saiyans received from Whis was implied to be a very large boost because they gained the ability to control their ki properly and sense the ki of the gods along with moving weights that were implied to be so much more than anything they had lifted prior and they did that frequently. In the Copy Vegeta arc the Saiyans' base form is shown to be strong enough to absolutely demolish SSJ3 Gotenks without even flinching. The gap is massive. At the absolute minimum Base Vegeta and Goku are Buuhan level in base and Blue has to be thousands of times stronger than that.
We don't know exactly how the current multipliers work though. Goku and Vegeta's new mastered base is also what led them to SSB, so it's possible their regular base<<<<<mastered base<ssj(50x regular base)<<<<SSB (50x mastered base)
I mean it's pretty clear the writers don't really care about multipliers when writing. I mean base Goku was on par with ssj2 Caulifla, and then went ssj2 (should be a 100x multiplier), but was still on par with her...
The fact that 17,Freeza, and Gohan caught up doesn't actually serve to contradict a massive boost in power by the characters in the series.
It kind of does, esince by Super logic he could of solod Z by training for a few hours, and it also means 17 should of solod the Buu saga.
These are characters with insane potential and they just yielded very large gains that almost put them in line with Goku and Vegeta's power. I think the huge misconception is that people see fusion competing with SSG and think "oh SSG must not be that big of a boost!" even though it gave Goku the strength to basically destroy the universe.
Again, using the power to destroy a universe thing isn't really a good argument as we don't even know the power of Buu saga top tiers. Also Goku being a universe buster as an SSG seems to have been reconnected. Even one of the writers said he thinks Goku isn't a universe buster as SSB. I feel it's because GoD level characters were supposed to be universe level, and SSG Goku was supposed to be though of GoD tier at the time, but now we know he is nothing to GoD level characters, even as a SSB.
The power Goku gained is not seen now in the SSG transformation itself, but instead the fact that the God power he attained was absorbed into normal ki in his base form. So really the fact that Kefla>SSG goku doesn't actually disprove the idea that SSG was such a huge boost in the slightest. It actually has nothing to do with the boost that Goku received in BoG. Which is exactly why the question of the base Saiyans in U6 vs SSJ Vegetto is actually a question. Because the power boosts are astronomically large. Me personally, I think Base Caulifla would win easily, Base Cabba would win with moderate difficulty and Base Kale would lose.
I can see why you thin this, but imo this is a result of Toei and Toriyama messing up the powerscalling. I really don't think any of the writers consider the U6 saiyans to be even close to that strong except for Kale. In the manga version Toyotaro even made it so that Goku never absorbed SSG to fix this problem.

I would say my tier system would go like this

Aren’t you two extrapolating a bit? Super Vegetto is one of at least two characters that are stronger than Gohan and he easily dominated a form of Majin Boo that had Gohan absorbed. The best a normal Saiyan could do in Super is dominating SS3 Gotenks, who is weaker than that Gohan. Using SSG’s power after the form disappeared was something only commented on Beerus’ fight and it was later confirmed by Whis that neither Goku nor Vegeta were at that level when they started training with him. I thought that was already clarified.

You think Buu stayed relatively the same after almost 10 years? And even if he did, he along with Roshi, Krillin and everybody that participated in the tournament all got massive amps. Current Krillin probably solo's all of Z

1. Goku was just excited that Roshi got much stronger than before, thats why his fist tingle. He never said anything about him being to much for him to handle (he was smiling the whole time).

2. Goku was holding back against Krillin (as stated in the show itself), plus Krillin improved from Z.

3. Good Buu is WAY stronger now than was in Z. Goku himself said that he improved greatly. He is way beyond Buu saga level at this point, so are the Trio De Danger.

4. Goku and Vegeta using Blue on the Trio De Danger was purely for hype. Toppo made it clear at the preliminaries that Goku was toying with Bergamo.

People who complain about Super's powerscaling simply aren't paying attention.

False. It was outright said in BoG (all versions) that Goku while fighting Beerus absorbed and surpassed SSG in base. Vegeta would later surpass that while training with Whis (as confirmed by Goku himself when he comes back from training).

Base Goku and Vegeta>>>>>>>>>>>>all of Z and GT is an undeniable fact at this point.

I think potara fusion is about your max power being combined and then multiplied creating your base form.

Thats why base kefla being able to beat ssg goku can make sense and why base vegito in the manga blowing off half of m zamasu body and being considered a bigger challenge than normal blue goku/vegeta can make sense.

Whether or not the power was temporary has nothing to do with whether or not Goku could go SSJ3 at the time. The fact that he could become 8x stronger by going SSJ3 kind of lends to the idea this whole time about stamina and things of that nature. Goku's normal super Saiyan was stated to have surpassed SSG and there was nothing to ever indicate that he lost this power or that it was temporary. His base is that normal SSJ/50 which puts him somewhere between Buuhan and Super Vegetto in Base at the end of BoG.

I believe the Buuhan scene and the ripples in the universe was anime-only. Anyway, it was just speculation that he could tear apart the dimensions in the universe when it happened. he didn't actually destroy anything. Goku, on the other hand, was destroying several planets with these shockwaves and if these shockwaves continued they could destroy the universe stated several times.

The only soldier Piccolo had trouble with was Shisami who was supposed to be very strong. Gohan wasn't that far removed from the buu saga so he couldn't have been that much weaker regardless of how much difficulty he had with SSJ and couldn't go SSJ2.

There was nothing that indicated Freeza's multiplier changed. It is definitely still the 113x from an In-Universe perspective.

what is this regular base vs mastered base stuff? I have no idea how you came to the conclusion that this is a thing. Is this derived from the ridiculous "two base" theory?Regardless of how much you THINK that the writers don't care about the multipliers, they were still stated to exist at those numbers and were never implied to have changed. The goku in base and then SSJ2 stuff was explained, whether or not it was a good explanation is fine. Goku in base could keep up with Caulifla in SSJ2 because of his "better fighting experience" so it took Caulifla longer to adjust to his fighting style than vice versa, so even though Goku was at a power disadvantage he was still winning. Then he went SSJ2 when she adjusted to his fighting style and since they were about equal in power they continued to be about equal in power.

I mean it is just your opinion that "they messed up the power scaling" but I mean at the end of the day the characters were still shown to be this strong, and In-universe they are thousands of times stronger than in the buu saga regardless of what your opinion on the power scaling is. The manga is a different story altogether.

You don't have any evidence that Goku held back against Gohan and Krillin isn't even relevant to the discussion. None of the dialogue in that fight implies that. The fact that Goku even needed to transform puts Gohan's power over his base, otherwise he wouldn't have transformed. He would've just powered up in base and beat him. No evidence that Goku even approached God's power in base either, otherwise him and Gohan wouldn't have stalemated.

Beerus outright said Goku's base power post-ritual was greater than SSG in base when they fought. There is no way around it.

JUst because Goku uses a transformation doesn't means he needs to. Krillin IS relevant here because according to your own argument you would have to say Krillin is SSB level if SSJ Goku wasn't holding back against SSJ Gohan.

No Krillin isn't relevant either. He transformed in order to test Krillin's resolve as stated in the show and by one of the writers. SSJ Goku not holding back against SSJ Gohan in no way logically proves that SSB Goku is comparable to Krillin. So this is just a reach on your part, especially when the dialogue from the fight and the feats shown make it obvious that Goku wasn't holding back against Gohan.

Buu did not get a power up until becoming skinny, and he did that in a day. The Buu that stomped an amped Basil would of still gotten stomped by Kid Buu.
And if you think Krillin can solo Z you are too far gone.

I never said Roshi was too much for him to handle, but couldn't considering Roshi is still Namek tier the scene makes no sense.
2. Goku was holding back against Krillin (as stated in the show itself), plus Krillin improved from Z.
It was just Krillin fan service TBH.
3. Good Buu is WAY stronger now than was in Z. Goku himself said that he improved greatly. He is way beyond Buu saga level at this point, so are the Trio De Danger.
Goku said that when he became skinny. Fat Buu didn't train and wasn't any stronger than normal.
4. Goku and Vegeta using Blue on the Trio De Danger was purely for hype. Toppo made it clear at the preliminaries that Goku was toying with Bergamo.
I agree.
People who complain about Super's powerscaling simply aren't paying attention.
Wrong, there are many examples of PIS power ups and they make it seem like pretty much everyone is in the same tier.

I think you kind of misunderstood me. Goku definitely powered up, but his ssj form being SSG level may of been kind of like a temporary, can access all of his power in that mode thing. Like how he was able to punch through Beerus' blast in base form at the end of the fight. I think he could still access the same power after the fight, he would just have to go to his final form to do it. Goku retained the power of SSG, but as his max power. Vegeta was able to catch up to his base after a few months of Whis training.
I believe the Buuhan scene and the ripples in the universe was anime-only. The destroying things with shockwaves was anime only as well.
The only soldier Piccolo had trouble with was Shisami who was supposed to be very strong.
That was the movie and Shisami was never stated to be above Zarbon. In Super regular soldiers stopped Piccolo from saving Krillin and Tagoma stomped him.
Gohan wasn't that far removed from the buu saga so he couldn't have been that much weaker regardless of how much difficulty he had with SSJ and couldn't go SSJ2.
In the movie Gohan compared himself to Namek Goku and in Super future Trunks implies Gohan was weaker than he was in the Cell games.
There was nothing that indicated Freeza's multiplier changed. It is definitely still the 113x from an In-Universe perspective.
Frieza's forms aren't power boosts, they are restrictions to limit his power. Multipliers don't really apply and an official multiplier was never given anyways. Even if the multiplier was exactly the same that would only put final form Frieza about 10x Buu from my numbers, and I actually don't have a problem with that.
what is this regular base vs mastered base stuff? I have no idea how you came to the conclusion that this is a thing. Is this derived from the ridiculous "two base" theory?Regardless of how much you THINK that the writers don't care about the multipliers, they were still stated to exist at those numbers and were never implied to have changed.
It's not really the two bar theory, but kind off. It's more like the manga difference between mastered SSB and regular SSB, and it's actually backed up by statements. Mastered SSB was stronger than regular SSB because he learned to keep his power in. That is the same thing Whis told Goku and Vegeta to do in the anime and it led them to SSB.
If ssj2 is a 100x multiplier for Goku your explanation above is impossible. Caulifla should of been able to stand there doing nothing as Goku just attacked her doing no damage. Also it wasn't just skill, base Goku's punch flat out canceled a punch from ssj2 Caulifla, and that was a tired base Goku.
I mean it is just your opinion that "they messed up the power scaling" but I mean at the end of the day the characters were still shown to be this strong, and In-universe they are thousands of times stronger than in the buu saga regardless of what your opinion on the power scaling is. It less of they messed up and more of it's the problem of different writers with different opinions and Toriyama constantly changing his mind. They literally just do what they think is the coolest. They clearly don't have anyone dedicated to making the power scaling make sense.

None of those say that Base Goku is just as powerful as SSJG Goku. So until you post an actual statement of that, Base Goku and Base Gohan are around the same level as shown in the show, which is far below Gohan's power from the Boo arc.

That's pure headcanon, it was never said anywhere that Roshi was only Namek saga level.

Is it really so hard to believe he is jus holding back?

Goku said that when he became skinny. Fat Buu didn't train and wasn't any stronger than normal.
The reason why Good Buu got the Fit form in the first place was because of training. Assuming that Fat Buu didn't get any better is pure headcanon. You are forgetting that transformations in DB are multipliers not fixed tiers. It was never said anywhere that Fat Buu is only as strong as he was in the Buu arc.

dragon boss z wrote:

No they don't. Otherwise there would be no need for power-ups in the first place and everyone would have an equal shot against everyone else, which they don't. Is it so hard to believe that a character is holding back even when they literally say they are holding back? The show makes it clear how strong x character is through feats, all-out fights and statements, just like in Z and Early DB. Its not rocket science lol.

Powerscaling is about measuring a character's strength by comparing them to everyone else, why that person is so strong to begin with is irrelevant to powerscaling.

Wrong. The Daizenshuu confirms that Buuhan can really cause ripples in the universe.

Again, transformations are multipliers in DB. The fact that in Z 1st form Freeza was 530,000 and Final Form was 120 million, with simple math you can see that Freeza's final form is a 226 times multiplier from his first. This shows that since RoF Freeza in ANY form solos all of Z and GT easily.

Bro, the fight and dialogue made it clear than tired SSJ2 Goku and SSJ2 Caulifla aren't that far off in power. This was made clear when Caulifla started to adapt to Goku's fighting style. And yes, skill does factor. A more skillfully thrown punch and kick has more power to it than a less skilled one for the same person. Any boxing couch and martial arts teacher would tell you that.

The images don't make anything clear since none of them have Base Goku in them. And that isn't what Krillin says in the correct translation. If what you're saying was a clear fact, then Goku wouldn't have stalemated with someone far weaker than Boo arc Ultimate Gohan as a Super Saiyan.

So until you bring up a scan flat out stating Base Goku=SSJG Goku like you're asserting, you don't have an argument.
