That's what threw me off too. He doesn't seem to be wearing glasses anywhere else in the promotion for this, so...I mean, he can ditch them easily enough, he did in GT, but still.

Actually...okay, Pan was roughly 4 years old at the end of DBZ, right? That means she has to have been conceived roughly 5 years prior to that. There's a 10 year gap between Buu's defeat and that ending, where this movie takes place sometime in-between...that actually doesn't leave THAT much room. So I'm really beginning to like the theory that maybe this movie is kind of a lead-in or just around the time of Gohan and Videl's wedding.

Everyone seems so surprised on that shot, except C-18 and Piccolo who just don't have that kind of temper and keep serious while waiting for an explanation.
Maybe it's Birus arriving and telling them "Oh, Goku? You mean the guy I defeated single-handedly?"

But Bulma and Chichi's surprise seems more comical than "real shock", more like "huuuh??... who is that funny-looking Catman?", like Kame Sennin's expression too.

I have a feeling it will go unexplained, but there's always a chance that's part of the 'violation of common sense of Z' thing too. Bils is a God after all, maybe he can make air appear in a limited space around himself if he's in space, thus allowing Goku to fight him even there?

You wouldn't think this would be too long after Buu's defeat, since Goten and Trunks barely look any older. Of course, Goku stayed a midget well into his teen years, so...who knows...

I didn't even notice that one was missing.

As for Pilaf's gang looking so odd, I'm almost chalking that up to just new design quirks, or something. But who knows at this point heh.

A body staying a midget seems to be a Saiyan's thing only. Gohan appeared to be an adult when he was 16 while Goku still looked like 14 years old when he was 18 at the end of the original DragonBall.

Wasn't Movie 14 taking place 5 years after the defeat of Majin Buu?
