Why is everyone so surprised that Vegetto isn't "really" fighting Broli? When you combine an arrogant ass, an idiot who just fights the fuck of it, with Saiyan pride; you get Vegetx100 with a sense of humor! He'll basically dick around with Broli before that "Oh shit I think this is getting serious" moment we get in every DBZ fight.

And HOORAY! Sideline commentary!

Because the only reason he toyed with Buu was to get absorbed by him so he could rescue his friends and family. There is absolutely no reason for him to be toying with Brolly, it's not like he has absorbed anyone.

Because the only reason he toyed with Buu was to get absorbed by him so he could rescue his friends and family. There is absolutely no reason for him to be toying with Brolly, it's not like he has absorbed anyone.

1) Goku and Vegeta are Saiya-jins, they like a good fight, so Vegetto would want a good fight. That's reason 1.
2) DBM Brolly is invulnerable while in his LSSJ state, thus there can be no 'obliterating' Brolly while he's an LSSJ, no matter how seriously he fights. Reason 2 for 'toying' with Brolly.
3) In order to get Brolly out of LSSJ you have to (mentally/emotionally) "shock" him. And that makes reason 3.

Which is utter shit. Broly never even had hints at invulnerability any more than Super Android 13 did.

I still totally wouldn't mind the "god mode" concept if it were just applied to someone other than Dende-damned Broly. It's a cool concept, but it's wasted on such a terrible and already-overused character. The very definition of "pearls before swine."

I am still perturbed that Broly cannot be defeated despite canon being contrary. True there is artisitc license and Broly has always proven to be a tough bugger (not even Perfect Cell could take a FSSJ Kamehameha point blank), but blimey is it a stretch.

If I where a spectator at this event I could use another intermission, maybe a snack, considering how long Vegetto is dragging it out. ; )

If I where a spectator I think I would say "DUDE! This is totally awesome! Did you just see that! Of course you didn't! They're moving so fast your eyes can't keep up! That's... Kinda disappointing but still AWESOME! Hey you think that Broly guy can break through the force field, he seems kinda crazy and unstable... In the official multiverse novel in the French section, Buu and Vegito have a conversation, and Vegito tells him to fix the match so he can fight Broly again. Buu refuses and says he wants to fight Broly but apparently changed his mind. Just thought I would throw this out there.

I suspect he might've done it because the draw had already selected Vegetto-16 and Broli-20 to fight so he decided what the hell and kept Broli from being returned home.

Well, he is based on Movie 8 Brolly and that Brolly was perfectly capable of forming full sentences and having conversations.
