They're not as scared to tie in filler to the main story with super so you never know.

They've never done it in any substantial way before.

Super's barely had an filler episodes, and certainly not of the volume we're getting right now.
Also these next two episodes as well as the first episode of the next arc are written by the guy who wrote most of the Future Trunks arc and he hasn't written any filler previously, so maybe they're treated differently.

In a way the episodes starting with 71 basically are the new arc. It literary looks like they were made to promote it, unlike the previous filler which had nothing to do with the upcoming arc.

Dragon Ball Heroes could have given us a trailer, just like that epic trailer they did for Future Trunks saga. I was expecting that, but since it didn't happen, the chances for a new trailer is almost zero.

The arc has already started in a way really. With the past episodes building Gohan's character. And it seems a chunk of the upcoming episode will be all about him and Goku training.

If this arc indeed is stretched out and slow, That's gonna be real awesome, more time to animate and we finally get a real long lasting arc

Probably didn't have time to, Vegeta's training in ep16 got cut down to him standing around due to lack of time for animating it.

That's a bold claim. We can't say that when the anime is an original work and is not adapting anything. So it wasn't "cut down" if it wasn't supposed to be shown to begin (there would be nothing new there anyway..)

Ajay mentioned or even showed storyboards from 16 where Vegeta was shown to train, as in actually train and not just stand around then shout. This isn't surprising since the production of this has been fucked from the word go.
