Unlike console ports though this arcade game can, and is, receiving regular updates so hit detection and stiff/sloppy animations will eventually be fixed. If they are going to port this arcade game I hope they will leave it for at least another year to fix the hell out it and make sure it plays like a fighting game. At the moment they can leisurely fix any problems with the games with not too much difficulty but once its (assuming it gets ported) ported and released they won't be able to fix it unless it sells well and they can pull a Capcom on us by charging us an extra games worth of money for some fixes and a few extra characters. I smell a Super Dragon Ball: Zenkai Battle Royale over yonder or perhaps a Dragon Ball: Zenkai Battle Royale AE 2013. -.-Rostir wrote:Hit detection seems so off, animations are stiff and sloppy. I'm starting to become underwhelmed with this game. Haven't lost interest however.

The hand to hand combat looks to have improved but like others have said it could still use quite a bit of fixing.
And for God's sake I hope they do away with that "blinking' thing the characters do after being hit.

Well I guess if the game is still fun then I won't make a big deal about it but I know a lot of people will be let down that you can't transform at free will. I remember when the first Sparking Game came out in 2005 that people on Gamefaqs and IGN hated that you can't transform.TheDevilsCorpse wrote:No, not at will. Except Gohan, he can transform into Super Saiyan 2 as part of an attack or whatever...Hellspawn28 wrote:So they can't transform at all in this game? That seems lame now but I hope the game will be tons of fun to play.

Wow, they look really cool.
Question: Can the current consoles handle these graphics or what? Maybe they could replace the DB:ZBR graphics with RB2's which are plastic too.

Why would they do that? The graphics in this one look beeter, at least IMO.dbboxkaifan wrote:Maybe they could replace the DB:ZBR graphics with RB2's which are plastic too.

But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.
Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

I hear Zenkai Battle Royale runs on the same graphic power as Tekken 6 which end up being on the 360. Since Broly has shown up then I hope for Coola and Super Buu to show up next. I think Super Buu should absorb the other player and take form of their powers. I miss when Super Buu can absorb others in battle like he did in Budokai 2 and 3.

If the PS3 can so does Xbox 360, plus 360 (512 MB) has more RAM than PS3 (256 MB) does. Although, PS3 has some reserved RAM. The graphic card of both consoles is equivalent to a GeForce 7900.DBZGTKOSDH wrote:I think PS3 can, from what I hear.
I own both systems and the graphics are the same, except, PS3's brightness is higher (which can be annoying) but by configuring the settings on the HDTV it's fixed.
In case the current consoles aren't capable of reproducing these graphics.DBZGTKOSDH wrote:Why would they do that? The graphics in this one look better, at least IMO.
Uncharted 2 is said to be the best on PS3, but as Uncharted 3 is now out, it should be better. I played the beta and didn't find the graphics all that impressive, but sure, they were pretty good like the previous Uncharted titles.
Regarding Xbox 360, "Halo 4 will be the best looking Xbox 360 game ever, says 343 developer".
All games look great to me so I'm not picky about graphics, besides, gameplay > graphics.

Yes. The arcade board this game runs on is based on PS3 hardware.dbboxkaifan wrote:Wow, they look really cool.

On a sidenote, the PS3 is weaker than the arcade board for ZBR (and Tekken Tag Tournament 2) in comparison.Super Saiyan Prime wrote:Yes. The arcade board this game runs on is based on PS3 hardware.dbboxkaifan wrote:Wow, they look really cool.

So if it get ported on PS3, the quality for the graphics will drop, even if not significantly.

The Wii U will supposedly be better than the current consoles and so it'd have better results than on PlayStation 3, it's all a matter of how they develop the game for the console.
What PS3 should offer now would be better games, since the graphics have reached their maximum with titles such as Uncharted 3 and KillZone 3. To be honest, I was never impressed with PS3 graphics or its hardware.
If the graphics have to be dumbed down, let it be. Since it's very unlikely to be released on PC.

I'd think the PS360 is more likely than the WiiU, even if they had to dumb down the graphics a bit. DB game sales have been steadily dropping. Namdai would probably get more sales out of the standard fan base than just the the WiiU owners, unless it was released a decent while after launch and the system sold absurdly well.
If anything, I'd see the WiiU getting a home console version of Heroes. You know; touch screen and all... (also the NFC if they really wanted to milk it so that you had to buy the cards and add them to your in-game deck.)

A PS3 port would be the easiest, and probably the most true to the arcade version because the PS3's hardware (which is what powers this game) is wildly different than what's inside the 360, and Wii U.

Re: 'Dragonball: Zenkai Battle Royale' Discussion - [News-28
Porting it right now would be a bad idea because of the fact that new consoles are on the horizon. It'd be a much better move for them to wait for Microsoft and Sony to release their consoles and port it to them.

The exclusive Dragon Ball Heroes arcade machine is going to be released on 3DS, so, it's not to say DB: Zenkai Battle Royale won't be made for home consoles.NitroEX wrote:I haven't kept up with this game at all but it looks intriguing.
