MY GOD! I saw a post on facebook about this new series and I was like ''Yea, maybe is a Dragon Ball Heroes anime, nothing important'' lol
YES! YES! Can't believe I lived enough to see a new Dragon Ball series, I'm shaking right now.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" On-Going Discussion Thread
Man, what is the Web 2.0 generation going to think of this show when it starts airing? Is FUNimation going to do an online simulcast? Before the Resurrection F premiere in LA I would have said no, but they're starting to act like the Japanese version actually exists now, so who knows? Regardless, "FUNimation Z" fans are going to be just as crazy about this show when it comes out as the type of people who post here, and they're going to have to deal with Nozawa...
This is the episode of when Gokuh enrages himself after Freezer talk shit about Kuririn

This is awesome!
Prepare to see the same kind of plot than in Battle of Gods and Resurrection 'F', meaning pure Toriyama!
Prepare to see the kind of animation Toei does today with stuff like Sailor Moon Crystal, meaning all impressive digital and even more refined and corrected for the Blu-ray releases and the foreign masters!
Prepare for Sumitomo's score just like for Kai and the movies, meaning both fun and epic!
A brand new series showing a story by Toriyama, that just didn't happen since... Dragon Ball Z many years ago!
Enjoy it all the way, and don't bitch around simply cause you'll never get the original Z discovery back! No need for depressive "yeah, but it doesn't feel like before". Of course it doesn't, it's its own new thing!

Yes. Chioka storyboarded both World Trigger Episode #23 and Disk Wars: Avengers Episode #27. One Piece Episode #690 was also storyboarded by Chioka. I believe he might have also storyboarded the first act or so of the 2013 Dragon Ball Z film. Chioka was the series director of Hakaba Kitarou, which also starred Nozawa Masako. Here is a picture of Chioka, on the left. You may find some more of his credits here.pappy wrote:Can you fill us in on some of the stuff he or she has done? Any highlights?JulieYBM wrote:Oh my goodness and a plethora of swear words, Chioka Kimitoshi is the series director. Best series director confirmed.
Chioka is pretty good with action, but I think his biggest strength is his work in non-action episodes. He keeps things dynamic and interesting. If he works with a good animation supervisor and key animators he'll probably pull off a great first episode, at least.

I love the fact that everyone see's it and their eyes just kinda rolls over it because we're so used to seeing fakes and such that we just assume right off the bat, It's fake. but this time the jokes on us. My brother has been harping on me all morning now saying ''See! I told you that guy at Gamestop knew what he was talking about!) Ugh..I still believe it was a lucky coincidence on his part because there's no way he could have had REAL! legit information on this when the people of Kanzenshuu didn't. Nope! I refuse to believe it.

The Dragonboxes are like a middle aged woman who still looks good through simply taking good care of her skin and body with maybe a tiny bit of makeup while the Orange Bricks are like a middle aged woman who get's 50 tons of botox, makeup and plastic surgery in order to look younger and as a result looks even worse. ~ ringworm128

Well that last part might not happen, there is a strong chance FUNi will do a simuldub. I am not sure what you mean haven't FUNi always acted like the Japanese version existed? All (except RotD) their home release's are dual audio.Kuwabara wrote:Man, what is the Web 2.0 generation going to think of this show when it starts airing? The hundreds of random YouTube channels as well, that would constantly post about a rumoured new Dragon Ball series etc. It was all a load of rubbish. None of those had any legit information. They just added 2+2 and came up with 5. This has been going on for years now though.samuraix123 wrote:I love the fact that everyone see's it and their eyes just kinda rolls over it because we're so used to seeing fakes and such that we just assume right off the bat, It's fake. but this time the jokes on us. It was difficult to believe at first. I still don't know if I fully believe it!
