Mr. Announcer wrote:Seriously, just pulling off Chichi was difficult. My voice is too low for a five year-old, but I'll try it maybe. And as for Rick, I dunno. If it's about redrawing some of his art then yes, he asked but I didn't have time for it.
Well, actually, I think what he had in mind was a little different from that. But I'm not sure.
Nah, I don't think Gohan's pitch is beyond you... you may have a low voice, sure, but not like a guy's voice! xD I think you'll do just fine.

Art, etc. links taken down for now. Will be updated at some point. I dunno.

Well, I was going to pm you, Mr. A, but here it is: It was a bit of a blirt on my part, but Kaboom and I were talking about some sort of "movie poster" if you will. Doesn't have to be an actual poster but a picture for the dub project. It was a just an idea that came across, if time isn't exactly on your side we'd understand
-Rick
Ehh, one movie poster I can slide in I think, as long as you don't need it fast or anything. Yeah, I think we could use a nifty logo and such....of course, that's getting a little ahead of ourselves again.

Don't worry about doing it quickly; we're trying to take our time with this project, so it gets done right (as much as a lot of people have initially rushed in with an "OH, OH! IWANNATRYIWANNATRY!" kind of attitude, though it seems to have cooled down a bit

). Can't really rush quality, I mean... ^^;

Well, I'm kinda late getting to this (
busy day) but yes, I was going to propose the idea that you and I actually collaberate on some sort of "poster" for the movie.
You're best at nailing the looks of the characters, and I could do some sort of background (
I think with watercolors I could end up with a mean-lookin' Shinseiju-infested planet Earth) and splice 'em together in Paint Shop.
What do you think?
By the way, while we're on the subject of art...

Prototype logo.

Oh yeah, I'd love to collaborate! I've been pretty weak with the backgrounds lately anyway. Prototype logo is looking good too (and creepy), just needs some fine tuning.

Amond
Daizu
Raisen & Rakasei
King Kai
Oolong
Bubbles
Roshi
Goku
Narrator
Why do I get the sneaky feeling Kirbopher's gonna be the Chris Sabat of this project, and probably me the Vic Mignoga (shattering my lungs doing Oozaru).

Please let me know by PM when this project needs the movie footage. Also if there is a preference in the format let me know.

If I ever had my microphone, I'd do Broly =). I'd definitely do Broly.

Okay, so I've got a question. What music will be used in the opening? Will we use the regular ol' 'Head Cha La', or can we make our own?
Maybe we can get Julian to sing it!
Kino, I've been waiting to say this: YOUR CHI-CHI AND PUAR ARE EXCELLENT. Chi-Chi sounds so womanly, yet so strict. And Puar sounds so cute.
GREAT WORK.
Anywho, I'm loving the Room 29 poster; that's exactly how it's portrayed in my mind. A good addition would be to put a hand creeping in from the end of the door... Creepy...

I say definitely go with that logo. It looks very professional, and I'd imagine that's the impression we're trying to get across?

I suppose we'll use good ol' "Cha La." Though since
CONAN supplied us with a Midi intrumental of it, I'm thinking it
could be fun to have someone sing it...

Ummm...Jack gave you that? I could've sworn it was me who emailed you, Mr. Piccolo/Rick, and Kino that instrumental/midi version of Cha-La, in fact I just this morning re-emailed a reedited version to match/fit the televised/movie opening length. ._.;;

Yup. My bad; I'm trying to do too much at once.
Fixed.

Serious question: Is that audition thread for auditions
and reviews now?

You can call me Rick because I'm not actually Piccolo.
I missed out on all of the DB Movie fun, huh?
Point blank: it's gonna suck if you want it to. Personally, I'm seeing it as a comedy.

Nope. Just auditions. Discussion should happen here.

I made my own dub of a section from movie #2 with my cousin 1 time. It was great. I had a fun time doing the screams for that guy with the electric whips.
I wish I still had it so I could put it on youtube.
Check out our home made films!
Lots of martial arts action and comedy.

If this project doesn't end up better than FUNimation's, I'm gonna nuke this forum.
We've got near-professionals on this board (I'm looking at you, Kirbopher and Kino), so WE MUST DO IT RIGHT.

I'm SURE we could be able to find a karaoke version of the song. If we're gonna dub it, I'm up for singing that part possibly.

Well, I'm willing to give the intro song a go as well, though I don't know if it'd be any good with a girl singing it...
By the way, Kaboom, where should we post the song recordings? Here in the main thread, or in the Auditions thread? o_O
