New PS2 Listings (Trilogy & Infinite World)
I really think they should stop releasing these games every 9-12 months at a time. It's too much, and it doesn't leave room for improvement. I'm tired of buying a new DBZ game so often, I just want one good game that will stand the tests of time and last me for at least 3 years before switching over to another sequel.
B1 was just testing the waters on how DBZ games can do, and B2 was a decent sequel. B3 introduced rushes and was my main DBZ game until I caved in, and decided to try out Sparking! METEOR, then Burst Limit.
I would have much preferred a BL2 because I'd love to see BL done justice. It already has the visuals needed, just add more features, etc.
But there is really nothing more we can add. Instead of following the Madden syndrome of just updating rosters, change some movesets around. Not just special attacks but combos.
For 29.99, IW is a good deal though, But I think it's more for people who have never tried out the Budokai series before and want to get a taste before the PS2 bites the dust.

Same here. I've been dieing for Budokai-esque Buu saga cutscenes (expected them in Budokai 2 way back when) and it looks like we're finally getting them.Captain-Sora wrote:Hey, after seeing that cutscene video I added on the previous page, I'm already sold because of the probable existence of Buu saga cutscenes. >_<
The more I see the game, the more I get excited about it. This is what I wanted Burst Limit to be.

Well, I found this Infinite World/Dragon Ball: Origins video interview with Donny Clay at GameTrailers.com. It's just basic things we all know already.

I also hate Donny Clay a lot. He's milkin' the Dragon Ball Z name too much. Although, I must say that Infinite World looks very amazing, from the gameplay to even the cutscenes! The cutscenes look a lot more varied, detailed-in-plot, and artistic in design than that of the abomination that was Burst Limit. Hell, these are the best DBZ video game cutscenes I've ever seen!! This game is really turning out to be something very special, though it's seemingly underrated. Finally, a game that will most likely be the best Dragon Ball game ever made (and for me, the best video game I've ever playedRory wrote:I fucking hate Donny Clay.
It's like me saying " I loved creating Dragonball ", and getting paid for it.
Another video up on IGN of the Goku vs. Majin Vegeta fight in story mode. There's also some cutscenes in the video as well.

I've got mixed feelings about this. I like the music and semi-better graphics, but the auras seem a little weird and the mouth flaps go on for a little too long.Taku128 wrote:Another video up on IGN of the Goku vs. Majin Vegeta fight in story mode. There's also some cutscenes in the video as well.

The in game aura, or the cutscene aura? I agree that the cutscene aura looks pretty weird. The lips moving for too long is probably because they're set to match the Japanese voices.Pain wrote:I've got mixed feelings about this. The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

What is Donny Clay's job title and role?
"We are going to have over 40 characters"
Meaning anything between 41 to 49 characters in the game. Not enough characters as this game really needs to include all the characters that have been in past games.
"We are going to cover all the stories of DBZ, DBGT and some movies"
If this game is going to cover all the stories then all characters need to be in the game.
I hate the fact that DC uses "we" like he is helping with the development of the game.
Atari save yourself some money and fire DC!

I guess as long as he's making money, he doesn't care about the idiotic comments that he makes.Raki wrote:Does he not know that the Sparking games aren't even Budokai games?DBZGokuSaiyan wrote:Well, I found this Infinite World/Dragon Ball: Origins video interview with Donny Clay at GameTrailers.com. EDIT: I don't know if this is new, but there's a video in the drop-down menu of the video sent by Taku128, and it confirms a LOT of things. Don't wanna spoil the surprise.

I think that was GameTrailers fault seeing as it's their interview, so they would be the ones who edited in the video clips later on. All he said was Budokai 3. I doubt that when he said that a video of Sparking 3 poped up in front of the camera.Raki wrote:Does he not know that the Sparking games aren't even Budokai games?DBZGokuSaiyan wrote:Well, I found this Infinite World/Dragon Ball: Origins video interview with Donny Clay at GameTrailers.com. Whoa!
After watching that trailer, I'm certainly looking forward to the game a little more, it looks like the perfect way to tide me over until a second Burst Limit game.
However it does look like the story cut scenes aren't in-game, a few of the lighting effects look a little too nice for the Ps2 to render on the fly.
