Yep! Had that happen to me on several occasions, actually.

Doesn't that only happen when the character in question is speaking through a device or is off-screen some other way? (through a scouter, over the phone or psychically) Or is this something different? If not, it's meant to represent their speaking over a communications device or something.

Nah, I had it totally spaz out when they were right there on-screen together. It was rare, but it did happen.

Pretty much that. The communication portraits when someone like Bulma and such are talking from somewhere else through a phone and so forth looking all unique like that is something different, it's pretty clear it's meant to be in-game considering it's an actual animation with that "static bar" moving from the bottom to the top of the character with their portrait looking digitized.

The error I was talking about was something that VegettoEX also pointed out about characters being together and such. The bar doesn't move, it just flickers/blinks for a few moments. It mostly noticeable at the 23rd World Tournament's part, especially when you talk to Puar and Oolong while they're speaking to each other.

The Wolf Man that you can fight before you take on Piccolo in the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai is a practitioner of Hokuto Shin Ken.

The way he waves his hands before he attacks is the Tenha no Kamae.

The beam attack that he uses is the Hokuto Gosho Ha.

Or maybe I'm thinking this only because I just finished Hokuto No Ken, Raoh Gaiden and Kenshiro Den.

To save going through hundreds of posts, I thought I would just ask... does this have a Japanese language option or is it dub only?

I recently finished the game, and it's probably the best Dragon Ball-related game I've played. Though, I haven't played many of them. Really had that SNES-era RPG feel to it and I was surprised at just how thorough they were in some of the scenes you just follow along. I think the text was actually more accurate in this game than it is in the DBZ English dub.

I'm definitely looking forward to a sequel. I'm guessing if there is, Vegeta will be a playable character. It would be awesome if you could transfer your already trained characters into the new game somehow.

I can't think of a way to exactly do that as there's no password system in the first game. Would there be a way to do such a thing?

There probably isn't. It's just wishful thinking, because I'll hate to have to retrain my characters from scratch.

Even if you got to start with leveled characters, consider the storyline. Everyone's going to have to train or get some power-ups to be of any use on Namek. So the characters you would transfer would probably be weak compared to the challenges in the game. Starting over isn't really all that bad.

You could always do what the newest DS Action Replay does and let you plug your cartridge into the new cartridge, just like ye olde days.

I'm playing this game right now. I just finished up Yamcha's episode. This is both the best and worst fanfic I have ever played.

This game is indeed the best Dragonball RPG that's ever been released for hand-held consoles or otherwise, actually. The ending shows Freeza which hints at a sequel. I see no reason that there shouldn't be one. This game has done really well.

I stopped playing video games but if a sequel comes along for this game I'll have to play it. It's one of the best RPG's I've ever experienced.
