I honestly doubt that's happening, while Goku is obviously the main character, we've had Cell saga with him not being the one who defeats Cell, in Super he wasn't the one who killed Zamasu (Though he did press the button that brought Zeno), and if we count other movies, he didn't kill Bojack (He did save Gohan though), he may not have been there during Broly's second movie (Though at least you can say his design is there so it can count anyways), and he only showed up at the end of Bio Broly as a glorified cameo.

Advertisement so far have been putting focus on Gohan and Piccolo, I doubt they would hide Goku for long if he has a big role considering he's the franchise's face.

It's still possible that's gonna happen, I just doubt it's gonna be the case, time will tell.

Lol that's not gonna happen. You might not think the current Dragon Ball is a success, but the banks accounts of those working on the franchise say otherwise and that's all they care about.

That’s why the Super era of DB is/was doomed to be a failure creatively due to it being money over artistic
integrity. When funny enough you can have both but alas Toei & Toriyama are to lazy to give a damn about putting out a well written/good product.

I love the Broly movie, but yeah. Once you get to the fighting, it's pretty much just a light show. The action is fun, but I find myself enjoying the slice of life stuff more these days. More plot, a little less screaming. I'm fairly confident from what we've heard so far that we'll get that.

Yeah so much nostalgia pandering like the new characters Gamma 1 and Gamma 2 as well as new forms, aging up characters, not involving Goku in the plot, showing a relationship between Pan and Piccolo...so much nostalgia pandering.

The movie is much more interesting in concept than either Broly or RoF. Yeah it includes the Red Ribbon army, but is definitely them, not just a crazy hack that uses their logo sometimes. They haven't been directly mentioned since DB. I think it's neat.

Also also, that's not how Gohan looked at the Cell Games. The outfit is a variation of Piccolo's gi that is different from the one he wore at the Cell Games, the hair is completely different than any version of him we've seen, and he's now wearing glasses at the same time. He looks like he's reconciled his two halves. It's cool.

Super (the series) introduced all of this and yet it doesn't stop people from saying it just panders to nostalgia.

Did it introduce new characters, forms, techniques, etc.? Yes. Did it write interesting new character dynamics? Yes (for example, Future Trunks and Present Trunks meeting, or Frieza and Goku working together in the ToP arc). Did it feature side characters prominently? Yes, Future Trunks was the hero of his own arc and Android 17 won the Tournament of Power. The only thing it didn't do was age up the characters and that was always fine, because it takes place as a midquel shortly after the end of the Buu saga.

Also Gohan's outfit looks identical to how it did in the Cell saga, come now

Introducing the most famous non canon character into the series proper with Akira Toriyama reimagining him from the ground up is much more interesting than Super Hero, which in concept is just the Android saga again.

Your attempt to distance Dr. Gero from the Red Ribbon Army so Super Hero doesn't look like a rehash, doesn't even make much sense and is a pretty blatant reach.
