YES! Ssj3 Vegito is finally official!
LOL @ DBM. XD
Feel bad about the female Ssj3 though. The pic is too blurry for me to tell the difference between Ssj1 and 3... :/

I'm betting the ads will have SSj3 Vegito vs. Beerus

I'm more worried about the ads pitting him against Super Saiyan 3 Broly.Hellspawn28 wrote:I'm betting the ads will have SSj3 Vegito vs. Beerus.

We originally had only two Super Saiyan 3, but now all them joined the party:

(not counting the six SS3 avatars).

And out of all of them, only two (Vegetto and Gogeta) actually make tangible, in-universe sense. :/JeffJarrett wrote:We originally had only two Super Saiyan 3, but now all them joined the party:

I mean, I'm totally down with 'what-if' stuff - but there's a difference between a gentle bit of fan-service and doing things for the sake of it, and Heroes seems to be more concerned with doing the latter - having exhausted all other salable content. It's long passed the point where they're encroaching on fan-fiction territory - they're now fully indulging/languishing in it.
I mean, is it so hard to just create original villains and story-lines that don't just regurgitate established content? Are they seriously so lacking in imagination?

Give it a few years, after they have exhausted Super Saiyan 4 they'll either move on to Super Saiyan 5, God or new ideas. Personally I hope they don't even start with Super Saiyan 4s.Blade wrote:And out of all of them, only two (Vegetto and Gogeta) actually make tangible, in-universe sense. :/JeffJarrett wrote:We originally had only two Super Saiyan 3, but now all them joined the party:

I mean, I'm not just being a cynical old fan - I genuinely think that the game itself would benefit from introducing original story lines with new villains - and not just artistically, but in sales too.
Don't get me wrong, I can see why Adult Gotenks cards would sell like hot cakes - but surely the appeal of giving every character the respective Super Saiyan forms they never received on-screen is going to wear pretty thin as a sales gimmick eventually. Hopefully when the sales figures do start to drop away, they will actually have a go at covering some new ground before simply canning the project - which is unfortunately, in my opinion, the more likely thing they'll do first before resorting to creating original content.
Which, to be honest, is sadly representative of franchise on the whole.

Re: "Dragon Ball Heroes" On-Going Discussion Thread
It's kind of a shame really, there's so much fun to be had with creating DragonBall villains (just look at Dragon Quest). But yeah, you're right. They're so unwilling to risk it and try new things that they'll wind up shooting themselves in the foot. It's unoriginality that's going to be the end of the game.Blade wrote:

Re: "Dragon Ball Heroes" On-Going Discussion Thread
Yeah it is a little annoying they're tossing around SSJ3s left and right, but at least a couple of them make sense.
Vegeta: It's freaken Vegeta. He needed this form just as much as he needed Super Saiyan 4, and I'm not saying that because I'm a fanboy (I'm not). >.>
GT Vegeta: Same thing as above.
Broly: Yeah I can see this as a bit overkill.
Future Trunks: Er...yeah he's awesome and all, but I don't think he needs SSJ3.
Present Trunks: Um...why?
Future Gohan: Okay this I can see happening as an alternative to his Ultimate.
Gogeta: Plausible
Vegito: Again, plausible.
These are just my opinions though.

SSJ3 Vegeta works. He was stronger than Goku in Battle of Gods, so for all we know he was already capable of it. By GT, no sweat (from the standpoint of using GT or just its chronology from Z, it works).Blade wrote:And out of all of them, only two (Vegetto and Gogeta) actually make tangible, in-universe sense. :/
Thanos before Thanos was cool.

Where the hell is SSj3 Goten
.
Just curious but is TEEN Goten is in this game? I know GT Goten is but how about EOZ Goten. If not then this game disrespects Goten....

I could go for some more Episode of Bardock-type promotions. What-ifs can be fun but transformations don't really mean anything without a story to set them up. Just seeing the design for an adult Gotenks doesn't do anything for me.Blade wrote: And out of all of them, only two (Vegetto and Gogeta) actually make tangible, in-universe sense. :/

I also have to wonder if the fan service element even matters to the younger children they are trying to sell this game to.

Much happy. Super Saiyan 3 Beat looks pretty cool in victory mission. I have no idea if that's Abra. If it is I'm very curious to why it has fusion clothes. I really like Froze's new design.

Huh, based on that one, it looks like the female Super Saiyan 3 loses her eyebrows, but doesn't gain the ridges.EveBlaze31 wrote:

No, there are some very lite lines that shape the brows towards the ears, but she doesn't have the part that pushes together between the eyes.Gyt Kaliba wrote:Huh, based on that one, it looks like the female Super Saiyan 3 loses her eyebrows, but doesn't gain the ridges.

Did they just reveal Bibidi and the Kaioshins as playable? If so, fucking called it.
