The 100 minutes thing is surprisingly likely (oh Fox).

IMBD, Boxofficemojo, the NYT, Fandango, etc., and apparently a whole bunch of local theaters all list it at 100 minutes.

It's kind of confusing though, you know? That they did truck-loads of PR for this movie in Asia and barely any in the U.S., yet the U.S. gets the "extended" version of the film? How does that work? Wouldn't Japanese movie-goers be upset that they ended up with an edited version? Especially when Dragon Ball originates from Japan in the first place?

Hmm, the film being pushed back a couple a days complicates my ability to see it right away. April 10th puts it on the first day of Sakura Con. So now I have to consider my options:
1) See if there's a midnight showing so I can watch it before the con starts (might be tired the next morning, but cons are all about running on very little sleep, right? :P )
2) Look for a two hour lull in the con schedule and go see it during the con, which would increase the possibility of seeing it with a bunch of disgruntled, complaining otaku (can't yet decide if this is positive or negative....on one hand, it might be nice to see it with people who understand what it should be like, and if it's really bad it might benefit from the MST3K treatment. On the other hand....annoying otaku are usually not very funny, and their ideas of "hilarious commentary" would probably just have me rolling my eyes).
3) Wait until the con is over and see it when I get back home (not as much fun as the other options, plus have to wait an additional 3~4 days to see it).
Well, whatever the outcome, there's just one week left till the US premiere. I'm both excited for and dreading the day it comes out.

Apparantely this isn't new to FOX. Babylon AD's US cut was 90 mins, and apparently the European cut was 100 minutes.

Nope... that's all that was in the script. Give me my 100 dollars.

I'm in the same boat. Me and my friends were going to cosplay at it Thursday night.

This. This would be the hardest to recreate ever again and damn I wish I could do it myself.

Just like I'm upset that we're getting this movie a week later than them and everyone else in the world even though it was made in America (I realize it was literally made in Mexico, but you know what I mean).[/i]

I'd say I gotta agree with Corey on that we may just end up getting the same theatrical release Asia got.

Remember how it wasn't until a couple of weeks before the Asian release that one of Chris Sabat's pals stated he had absolutely no role within DBE and how it eventually was confirmed by the movie? Remember how long people thought Mr. Sabat was going to provide Shenlong's voice?

It seems the information about this movie has been screwed around with since day 1.
