I find it interesting that we're arguing whether or not it's possible for SSJ4s to exist in this story, when the battle in question takes place with a Broly who doesn't follow Broly-laws. :P

Sidebar: I wonder if the absence of the tail makes it easier to reach SSJ? Would help explain why Trunks and Goten go SSJ so quickly.

I'm pretty sure he's just using his full power.

Remember how Goku powered up just before he fought Cell? Yeah. Like that.

I agree with Tullece. I think Vegetto is just going full power rather than a new transformation. I would kinda be turned off if he turned SSJ3 because even though it would be possible if looked further... it would be kinda "Meh, that's not what I really wanted to see." It's Salagir's fan manga, I give him full respect and he does what he wants on his terms, but something like Vegetto turning SSJ3 I could care less about.

That's Super Saiyan 2. Lightning Bolts and straighter hair.

I think they did a really good job with the SS2 design, it may not be too creative with his hair just sticking pretty much straight up but I really like it nonetheless, it reminds me of Gohan for some reason.

Why does a stronger version of our Vegetto consider his max to be SSJ2?

Same reason a Goku that can go SSJ3 considered his maximum SSJ2 against Vegeta.

While I suppose that this is much more sensical, I am disappointed that Vegetto didn't jump to Super Saiyan 3. "Full power" tends to make me think "everything I've got", not "everything I've got while hiding an even higher power".

I'm incredibly biased in this instance, though-- SSJ3 is my favorite stage of Super Saiyan transformation, so I would have loved to see a new one. Yeah, I'm one of those retarded wanks who got a kick out of the What If? characters in Raging Blast. ^_^

Nothing against SSJ2, though. Lookin' good.

If he hasn't become comfortable with Super Saiyan 3 yet than that just means we might get to see Vegetto improve as time passes.

I have to wonder if the prologue will be retconned with Vegetto as a Super Saiyan 2 or if the fight will go on long enough for both of their ki to become drained enough they power down...

The inking's nice on this page, not sure what's different about it though.
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
Doubtful. Vegetto doesn't need to worry about SSJ3 draining him of his time on Earth like the substancially weaker and less living Goku did.

That wasn't the reason. There is no need to go SSJ3 if SSJ2 is enough. Same case in here!

Except we just saw that Vegetto was excited about being able to go all-out against Broly. Hang on; I'm going to compare to the original French dialogue.

EDIT: There's room for debate as to whether he means 'seriously' or 'with all my strength' in the original, but the word choice implies the latter more-so.

On another note, the hair doesn't match his SSJ2 hair shown when he starts the transformation. Maybe this is SSJ4 or a Vegetto-specific SSJ? (SSJ, SSJ2, blinding flash, this)

Vegetto comment reminds me of something...

Announcer: Round 2. Ready? FIGHT!

Oh snap! I'm late for dinner! I hope my boyfriend can understand that the lastest page to DBM was important to me.

OMG, who drew that? It looks a lot like Toriyama's style.

On topic: If Son Goku can go Super Saiyan 3 with ease, then Vegito whose much stronger than him, also should be able to.

If I was Vegetto, I would skip all the fun and utterly crushed Broly from the first punch. I would go SSJ3 and smack him so hard that he flew above the speed of light.
If now his "God mode" (which makes me wonder, which creature/God in the Universe gave a measly Saiya-jin such a mode?) can withstand that, his psyche won't, as he can't even see anything and feels blind (the photons don't reach his eyes) and outclassed.
Pop, he goes out of the mode, and at him, I throw a booger (that I took my time picking out of my nose) that upon impact, turns him into small pieces and eventually, energy and matter are destroyed. 'Cause that's what Vegetto can do.
Yep.

Sorry I'm already taken. Plus I tend to emotionally drain anyone I hook up with because it gives a overwhelming sense of pleasure. I kid.

That's a good point. If Vegetto maximum strength is SSJ2 (god I hate using the word "maximum" now) that wouldn't make a lot sense because Goku can transform to SSJ3 before he fused with Vegeta. In fact they became even stronger just at the SSJ level. There should be no reason why Vegetto can't go beyond SSJ2, especially since he's been training for 20 years! Or was it 15? Or 10?
