Some of my favorite Gohan moments are him jobbing too . His fight against recoome is definitely my 3rd favorite moment with him . However,if all Goku did in Super was Job or be irrelevant then you'd want a W I guarantee that. You say that because you know at the end of the day he'll get a W so his losses become more appealing.HeroR wrote:Why would I care if Goku jobs? Unlike most, I am not obsessed with characters getting 'W'.

I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
Vegeta made the rule before the team was even decided and Vegeta didn't even want Buu. Goku did. And it isn't 'poor writing'. It's a plot point you don't like because it got Buu out of the tournament before he could fight. In-universe, it makes perfect sense why Vegeta didn't want random, powerful monsters who can't understand the basic rules.Baggie_Saiyan wrote: Out verse that whole thing was poor writing so we would get a gag via Buu. The fact no one in U6 failed just showed that besides in verse Vegeta should know Buu would fail.
That Recoome fight wasn't Gohan jobbing since he had no chance at winning and we as the audience knew that from the jump that Gohan was going to get destroyed. Jobbing would be if Gohan went in thinking he had a chance, like Vegeta vs. Perfect Cell, and getting smashed. Gohan jobbing is Super Buu after he absorbed Gotenks and Piccolo.kinisking wrote: Some of my favorite Gohan moments are him jobbing too . No, I wouldn't care if Goku got a straight W. Goku hasn't had a straight, undisputed W since Botamo and maybe Copy-Vegeta if we count him. I personally count Hit round 2 as a win, but several fans insists that was a tie, so whatever. Also, I liked Goku's role in the Android/Cell Saga and he won none of his fights, got his butt kicked by a Cell Jr worst than the human cast, died, and he was out of the picture for one-third of the saga for one of the most contrived reasons in the franchise. I love Krillin and when was the last time he had a straight win that wasn't against fodder, yet I don't complain about him not getting any 'Ws'. I am also a Gohan fan and I don't care if he ever gets a win or if he spends the rest of Super as the end of a joke.
I don't care about a character getting 'shine' as long as they entertain me.

Getting shine isn't just getting a W though. It's getting a chance to look good though and that's something Goku does and will always do so you wouldn't understand. Have him pushed to irellevancy after getting destroyed in his last fight like most of the other characters , and then you'll be wanting that shine.

As I said, I am fan of Krillin and Gohan, as well as being a fan of Goku. Yet, I don't care if they look good, nor do I care about them being pushed out of the main cast. Jaco is another one of my favorites and he has almost no role in the series since the Champa Saga and only came back to screw things up in Episode 73 and 74. I love Goten, and he became a joke in the Future Trunks Saga. So I don't why you keep insisting that I would care. I don't, simply as that. Maybe because I have more than one character that I love that I am not obsessed with just one or two.kinisking wrote:Whatever losing badly is what I meant.HeroR wrote:

Being a fan of other characters doesn't really matter in comparison to your favorite though. I'm pretty much a fan of every fighting character in the show besides for Piccolo and Chiaotzu. I don't really care if they don't look good this arc though. I do care if Gohan does though. You're right about never understanding because you'll never have to understand what it's like because Goku's the main character.HeroR wrote:As I said, I am fan of Krillin and Gohan, as well as being a fan of Goku. You know, I watched other shows besides Dragon Ball and I have favorites who gets almost scene time. For example, my favorite character in Naruto is Jiraiya and he got killed off and didn't even return as a zombie. Another one of my favorite characters, Ace from One Piece, and I shouldn't have to tell you what happened to him. Be grateful that your favorite is still alive for you to enjoy in some way.kinisking wrote: Being a fan of other characters doesn't really matter in comparison to your favorite though. Okay, but most people here have Dragonball as their number one anime. Things like that are different because I care about Dragonball and it's characters more. My favorite was ace too. Although having him die was sad, it was a powerful moment that I enjoyed. I'd also rather have Gohan die in a powerful moment like that, then continue to be a former shell of himself. Don't tell me to be greatful in order to silence me or I'll do the same with every single one of your complaints directed at Super or Goku.HeroR wrote:You know, I watched other shows besides Dragon Ball and I have favorites who gets almost scene time. Last week was a bit of a slow episode, hopefully tonight we see more tension between Goku and Beerus.

Well, the title does imply that the deadly concequences will be revealed. Let's hope this isn't simply a case of misleading titles.omaro34 wrote:Last week was a bit of a slow episode, hopefully tonight we see more tension between Goku and Beerus.

Yeah, since from spoilers, we're not even getting into the preliminary matches until 79, so this one will be another set up, only this time for the preliminary match Mirai Zeno wants to hold.kinisking wrote:Today will be a slow episode too. I'm hoping today's episode will have good pacing like previous the episode but I agree with everyone the match won't start in this episode but it could end with the U9 fighters introducing themselves

I'm still wondering how Goku will react to all this , will he be his normal dumbass character that'll be like "I have no idea why youre angry, all we have to do is win right? I'm excited!" or will he reflect or somesort, I'm leading towards the prior.

Beerus destroy planet because of bad food, even if he can be nice to Champa, I don't think Champa dying would be a big preoccupation for Beerus.
