I agree. Which is why I'm looking forward to Revenge of King Piccolo, something that's actually original.

Now how does that video prove it's exactly the same? The guy didn't even play well nor did anything really and the video went for barely over two minutes. Keep in mind this is another one of Spike's "Sparking" installations with a new title, a spiritual successor really, just like Burst Limit was to the B/SB series. Just because it's based on its gameplay doesn't mean barely anything has changed. The guy in the video didn't even bother starting a second combo string when he knocks back Freeza, the whole video didn't even scratch the surface of what the gameplay can really offer.

Seriously, what is up with people and this game. Practically NOTHING was shown, only two short videos which barely had anything and people are assuming the worst. Other people even go so far as to think Buu saga isn't in JUST BECAUSE that first trailer didn't show anything about Buu, despite the fact it showed SSJ2 Goku. Then there's really minor and ridiculous complaints where people think battle damage isn't in just because that one new gameplay video didn't show it. By that logic, big bang attack must not be in, Vegeta didn't show it! CLEARLY IT ISN'T. =O

That's interesting. The first Sparking game had 90 characters if you count transformations, and 20 if you didn't. Raging Blast isn't a Sparking 1 remake, it's a step back from Sparking 1.

EDIT: Actually Sparking had about 60 characters. Why the fuck does wikipedia say 20?

If it ain't broke, why fix it? The gameplay looks improved... the character's movements seem much smoother and more natural than in BT3.

This post tells me you haven't been following the anticipation/release since the first Budokai.

By now, developers should get the picture from us fans. After 38,000 DBZ games a year since 2002, some of us have become jaded. It's about time after seven years that we're blown away. I've tried as many variations of the list of characters as I can -- and I can't get past the Cell Saga. We're four games in and we get something that won't let us transform (I'm waiting to be proven wrong here), and doesn't even go to the Buu Saga!? Bullshit.

Hey if people wanna go out and spend 60 dollars on some rehashed bullshit then who are we to argue with them? Oh wait! You can slam people into walls now! Such an innovative addition!
I completely respect your opinion, and I respect you. I enjoyed discussing this with you, even if I don't completely agree.

For the same reason we bought Burst Limit.

Exactly why the fans are idiots. Too much overreacting like that. Who knows Raging Blast will be better than Sparking! series or Budokai series? I mean Sparking! hasn't been released for 2 years since Meteor was released. So judge by that, it has a lot of potienial. You never know until you buy it. If you dont like it, sell it to EBay or rent at Family Videos.. A lot of suckers at ebay will buy stink DBZ games. I'm pretty sure. I have loved every DBZ games. Of course, that includes DBZ saga and Transformation. So you fans have something to complain, tell it to your momma. Have your mom call the company to demand a change. Oh wait, we can't do that because they dont care about your darn complaints. So be quiet and wait until something important has been revealed. For now, just play your favorite DBZ game patiently until then.

And this game has 73?! They cut it in more than half?

Edit: Um... So this count is due to NO TRANSFORMATIONS?! ...What...Why?

Erm, as a matter a fact I have, I always want more from the games, I always rushed to game boards on gfaqs since Budokai was out as each following game was announced. BUT all your post really describes is that you're mad about inaccurate claims by people hating on things that they don't even know if they're in or not.

There has been NO OFFICIAL statement(so far) that Buu saga is not in the game NOR that you can't transform. Both of these are out of the blue assumptions that people seem to be exaggerating. I, as well as many others obviously want a lot out of each sequel and new game that comes our way, but I'm not going to whine about false crap that random people worry about which aren't even stated as official yet nor assume that the game really is the same as the previous one just because of a video.

It's not like I'm claiming that this'll be leagues better either, I'm just being fair and saying that you shouldn't worry over nothing and expect it turn out crap right away. That's as ridiculous as claiming that this game will be the greatest one.

The number of characters being reduced doesn't kill it for me (though I'd still kinda like to have Bura as a playable character; she's the only one left on my list of rare-characters-that-I'd-like-to-play-that-aren't-playable-anywhere-yet. ) and I'm really sad about there only being 10 playable stages, but there's one thing they can do that would really get me to want to buy this game.

Special outfits.

I want to play as Bad Man Vegeta. I want to play as Goku with the halo AND those huge angel wings. I want to play as Postboy Piccolo. :D

Seconded.

I don't think they would include Goku with the wings as that was only in an ending......

Now I'm thinking about Gohan dressed as Sun Wukong.....

This must be a joke. It looks and plays EXACTLY like the PS2 games. Plus, it looks (like I guessed earlier and was flamed for) that it will only cover up to the Cell saga. Why they even bothered bringing this to PS3 without giving it any worthwhile upgrades is beyond me.

At least if it were on PS2 we'd get it for a discounted price.

Also did anyone else notice Freeza has 4 moves? First in the video I just posted there's his:

-Energy Disks move
-His move where he charges at the opponent
-His beam move similar to what he does against Goku(basically this list is like his BT3 set up)

BUT...in the trailer's gameplay parts, we saw him in the same form about to preform Death Ball.

Either characters have up to at least 4 moves now or possibly customizable options are in this game...Neat.

I just watched the Vegeta vs Freeza clip, and I was shocked to see that the water is still just a texture map on a flat plane, with the hardware of this generation there is no excuse for this kind of laziness.

I have to applaud Spike for an absolutely pathetic job so far though, it's like they aren't even trying.

Hmm, Freeza seems to have more moves, he clearly didn't use anything like an ultimate blast.
Also the stages are enormous. I can't believe none of you have noticed that yet, I guess you're too busy complaining about other things.
