If Funimation does Dub Episode of Bardock will it get released outside of the game? or will it just be for the game only release.
The Dragonboxes are like a middle aged woman who still looks good through simply taking good care of her skin and body with maybe a tiny bit of makeup while the Orange Bricks are like a middle aged woman who get's 50 tons of botox, makeup and plastic surgery in order to look younger and as a result looks even worse. ~ ringworm128

There's been no announcement of EoB on Blu-ray or DVD.samuraix123 wrote:If Funimation does Dub Episode of Bardock will it get released outside of the game? or will it just be for the game only release.
The max I'd pay for a Blu-ray version of EoB would be $15.99 because it's nothing special or good, well, at least Burdock turning Super Saiyan was kind of cool, at least.

Re: "Dragon Ball Z For Kinect" Official On-Going Thread
I probably wouldn't mind paying 20 dollars for it on Blu-ray but I think If Funimation releases it, it would be like a double feature like Yo! son Goku and friends return or the remake of Plan to Eradicate the Super Saiyans with EoB. I just didn't want this to end up on the game and that's it

Re: "Dragon Ball Z For Kinect" Official On-Going Thread
Why would FUNimation go back to the Double or Triple Features? These aren't films to join up or anything, they're OVAs.
Never liked the DF or TF's anyway, the quality was sucky.

So why not just release an OVA collection on DVD & Blu-ray?

It's up to FUNimation to decide what to licence.samuraix123 wrote:So why not just release an OVA collection on DVD & Blu-ray?
An OVA collection? But it's never certain when new OVAs are coming out so it'd be an inconsistent collection.

Hey, guys...
I really don't play DBZ video games anymore. I just don't like them. But... I do like new animated features. I bought Raging Blast 2 just because it of The Plan to Eradicate the Super Saiyans...
So when I heard this game was gonna have an animated feature on it, I wanted to know which one exactly. I had some free time today so I decided to do some digging. Turns out I didn't have to look far. All I did was go to the official site and found this blurb. I would say this pretty much confirms the feature is gonna be Episode of Bardock...

Here's the link: just go past the 9th image to see this little article.

So it's just Episode of Bardock... Nothing special then. The only good thing is that SSJ Bardock & Chilled are going to make their debut, and will possibly be included in next ga- wait, where was Hatchiyack or Tarble after Raging Blast 2?

Re: "Dragon Ball Z For Kinect" Official On-Going Thread
So the secret character will either be Burdock Super Saiyan or Lord Chilled, sorry Majin Ozotto, you're outta luck.
Btw, Xbox LIVE on PC doesn't show the content of DBZFK available but right now there's just an Announcement Trailer of Dragon Ball Z For Kinect, no demo yet. I suppose there'll be one.
Edit: DBZGTKOSDH, Tarble's ultimate attack or whatever you call that just had him calling his space pod and crash the opponent, that's so... dull.

It's not that I like or play with Tarble in RB2, it's just that he made his debut along with others, and then that's it. I like when DB games have many characters, like BT3, because I make various team combinations & play against almost whatever opponent I want from the series.dbboxkaifan wrote:Edit: DBZGTKOSDH, Tarble's ultimate attack or whatever you call that just had him calling his space pod and crash the opponent, that's so... dull.

Re: "Dragon Ball Z For Kinect" Official On-Going Thread
Really? They are that lazy at Toei that they can't make the equivalent of a new episode of Dragon Ball for one or two games a year when they probably do hundreds of episodes for other shows? Cause the Episode of Burdock didn't even include a proper opening and ending and was ultimately shorter than a single "normal" episode, and it was the only Dragon Ball stuff produced in the whole year...Tanooki Kuribo wrote: So when I heard this game was gonna have an animated feature on it, I wanted to know which one exactly. I might be the only one who thinks there should always be some on-going production about Dragon Ball at all times, whether it's all remakes or some new adventures. But still, I don't think asking for one or two new already-too-short movies or even already-too-short episodes (or pack of reanimated scenes here and there, that counts too) for every next-gen video game is asking too much on the whole year!! As I said, when they do hundreds of episodes for other shows, I don't think they would lose much spending a little time or money to make two or three special features during a whole year.
Anyway, all of this to say that if that's true, I'm really disappointed. They'd better make up for it with the main game at the end of the year, I don't care if it's yet other remade scenes that were not done in the first one (Vegeta's sacrifice and other scenes that would have deserved that treatment) or a remade special or brand-new special... It better be SPECIAL and worth the wait, cause I'm Dragon-Ball-starving... Looks like they're expecting too much (money) from the show while not doing enough for it at the same time, that doesn't sound reasonnable to me.

Dude, would you really pay 15-20$ for something thats only about 20 minutes long? Thats literally paying the price of the season sets lol.dbboxkaifan wrote:The max I'd pay for a Blu-ray version of EoB would be $15.99 because it's nothing special or good, well, at least Burdock turning Super Saiyan was kind of cool, at least.

I don't really see FUNi selling it for $5 or $10 but it'd be a fair price better than $15-20.goku the krump dancer wrote:Dude, would you really pay 15-20$ for something thats only about 20 minutes long? Thats literally paying the price of the season sets lol.
Episode of Burdock is just so boring and uninteresting, plus it's weak throughout the end. It just gets a bit better with the Saiyan moment.
___________
EDIT

It's available now for Pre-Order at Play.com for £30!
http://www.play.com/Games/Xbox360/4-/31 ... fer=search
To be honest, I thought the game would've cost £35-40 like the others, but £30's better for those who're planning to get it early.
Btw, Kinect games tend to lower their prices down as the months pass, if so, I'll buy DBZ For Kinect. Haven't even bought Ultimate Tenkaichi yet for 360.

I think Amazon has the Kinect game for $39.99. Not surprise since it's a kinect game and they are re-using the Ultimate Blast engine making the movie a lot cheaper to make.

While I do rail on Toei Animation for being cheap, they are busy. They do multiple animated TV series at once, films and specials for those TV shows, commercials, and original films. Dragon Ball, which doesn't exactly rake in the dough nowadays, probably isn't worth diverting their talent and $100-300 thousand bucks for twenty minutes of animation.Cold Skin wrote:Really? Why are you blaming Toei? If anything it's Namdai's fault. They're the people putting out the game, not Toei. If they weren't willing to shell out the money for a new production they should take the blame. There are plenty of reasons to dislike Toei, but this isn't one of them.Cold Skin wrote:Really? Also, with the advent of things like DB Heroes, I highly doubt Episode of Bardock was the only DB production from them.

Re: "Dragon Ball Z For Kinect" Official On-Going Thread
Namco Bandai is likely adding the Bardock episode because they think no fan outside Japan seen the special? This is not the 90's or the early 2000's when the Internet was limited and not many people had. I think casual fans have seen the Bardock special by now. I doubt fans are going to care if it's in the Kinect game unless they dub it and add more footage to the special.
