I was just tossing in a little stupid joke to break up the monotonous bickering these LAM threads usually lead to.

...Why must it always come to this? C'mon, honestly...

Because the internetz r srs biz.
But seriously, this does always happen. I don't really see why people get so worked up over these things. I can understand trying to change someones opinion/belief to your own, that's kind of our human nature...but getting mad because someone has a different view seems a little silly.

Just woke up but here's some news.
Toywiz is now accepting pre-orders on a new series of action figures from Bandai for Dragonball: Evolution. There’s a wide variety of toys to choose from, including 4-inch Goku, Yamcha, Roshi, Piccolo, Bulma, Goku with Fangs and Fulum, 6-inch Goku, Yamcha, and transforming RX Trike, 8-inch Yamcha’s Off Road Vehicle, a life-size replica of Goku’s extending Bo Staff, the Dragonball Alter, Goku’s Kamehameha Shooter, and Oozaru the Big Monkey, all of which are expected to release in March. Prices range from $9.99 to $49.99.
Thanks to Manuel for the tip.

They'll probably just re-package those old Kamehameha bracelets. You guys remember those?

I used to have this toy called a Ninja Defender, which unfortunately is broken now. It was something like the lightsaber toys, a stick with a button that you push, then twirl it to make the ends extend. It gained an impressive amount of length and was very tough too -- in all my playing with it it never broke, it only broke for unknown reasons when I moved to another country and it was in storage.
If it's anything like that, it'll be good.

We need to watch that Toywiz page. I want to see what these figures look like.....I'd really like to own a few interesting-looking DB figures like this. Even if the movie sucks, it'd just be really fun(for me) to have figures of the original characters next to their movie counterparts.

See, this is why some people can get fun even out of a crappy movie. Especially one based on a beloved existing franchise.

From that new interview that was put up:
- Were you inspired in any way by the manga or the anime, for the fight scenes mainly?
Actually... no. But the writer of the script sure was, and all I did was to illustrate the director's ideas (based on his interpretation of the script), so it was all already laid out for me, and the spirit of the anime was already there. And from what I understand, what made this series so popular was the fighting sequences, so, it would be idiotic from everyone if there wasn't a heavy influence of the series for translating it into live action.
:/

Well, the awesome fights were what kept the series going post-Pilaf, after all.

Why did they make Bulma a fighter... I mean, they could've at least give her a gun instead of making her a martial artist..
