I wouldn't be surprised if Bra's an SSJ2 or SSJ3 and that, whatever her maximum is, it's around SSJ1 Vegetto's level.

Any of them...even if her maxed toped out at being even with SSj1 Vegetto(which I doubt) while I can understand how, I would be pissed.

I've found this to be annoyingly common. Not just with DBM but even in fanfiction. Almost anytime anything deviates at all from the original you get at least one person who goes "What? That's not right!" no matter how many times you tell them it's an AU, and thusly things are supposed to be different. Though, admittedly, I've been seeing it a LOT more with DBM than I do elsewhere. (Except, perhaps, all the old DBE threads.)

It's just especially frustrating in DMB because it's so blindingly obvious that it's an AU setting- shit, the AUs are physically present as separate realities chilling in separate benches talking to each other. At least with fics there are a certain amount of canon ones and one could think a certain fic was meant to be so.

I don't see any problems with Bra reaching SSJ3 myself. Other than it would look totally awesome, even Vegetto as a candy is powerful, so logic dictates that his daughter would be strong as hell too.

The problem is that it's not entirely an AU. We've been told that things were exactly the same as in the manga up to a certain "splitting point," and each of the Alternate Universes were not created until their particular splitting points. Some just sooner or earlier than others.

In this Broly's case, the differences allegedly only started with Movie 8 having a different ending. So this is not some alternate-universe Broly who works differently than in the series. This is the creators deciding that this is how their Broly works in the first place, and he was responsible for creating his own universe's split.

I think its was kind of obvious from the start that the 18 universe wasn`t exactly the one from the anime or from the manga because of the presence of the movie villains, who they seem to know and recognize.

Since those villains do not exist in the manga or in the anime, it couldn`t be exactly like the anime or the manga.

But even if we consider that they were expanding the manga universe or the anime universe, without changing anything, the events of the movies do not match the events of the anime or the manga. If they met those villains in the same conditions as in the movies, it wouldn`t fit because no movie fits perfectly well in the manga or in the anime (except maybe movie 9 with Bojack).

Talking just about the Brolly movie, its kind of obvious how it doesn`t fit in the manga universe or in the anime universe. But universe 18 recognized him right in the beginning.

So, logically, universe 18 couldn`t be exactly like the anime universe or the manga universe or, if we consider that they are expanding the anime universe or the manga universe without changing anything, than the movies can not be exactly the same as the ones we know.

Also, I don`t see how the authors misleaded anybody, if these things I stated were kind of obvious, right from the beginning of the fan manga.
