Fair enough. I think my expectations are just a little too high. It just wouldn't make sense to me to kill him off
Toei loves to create shock value(Piccolo death, Humans death in Trunks timeline).

Gohan dying, getting revived, realizing he needs to regain his mystic form and wanting to reach SSJB level would be 100% logical tbh.

And also it would motivate Goku to beat the hell out of Bergamo in base, humillating him to make him realize how weak his Universe is.
I personally think that would just be bad writing.

It would send a bigger message to other universes that U7 isn't to be underestimated. They've already beaten Champas universe with essentially just 2 guys, and it'd be an even bigger deal if they completely spank U9 in a 3-0 win. It'd give U11 guys a chance to see that there'll actually be people worth fighting in this tournament. Not just Goku.

Ask it stands I personally think it'll be Goku, Gohan and Vegeta fighting the top guys in universe 11. Why would they waste their time if Gohan loses and Goku is the only worthy one?

We already got that with Buu, who just beat Basil. They would still find Gohan to be strong if he gets beaten via cheating.

BTW I also want Gohan to win, but like I said before the most important thing is that Gohan looks impressive and gives his 100% throughout the whole fight.

It wouldnt be good either if Gohan wins in a fluke fashion because the Gods will see him as just a lucky guy and not worthy of being Gokus son

Don't you think it's even more impressive that he overcame the cheating and STILL won? Being at such a disadvantage and winning is better than having any excuse for losing. I doubt they'll say "''man that guy was strong. If only the other guy didn't cheat.." they'll look at his fight and see that he was a brilliant fighter who knows how to think under pressure.

There's no reason to believe Gohan will win by a fluke. The guy is a nerd for goodness sake. I'm sure he will find an intelligent, well thought out way for winning.

Hmmm, wonder if the copy-cat could possibly copy Goku's access to god ki, technically it's a technique and it isn't exclusive to Saiyans.

Is it confirmed that it's techniques instead of power level ?

I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.

All Gods will be expecting very strong fighters no matter what and they don't know how strong the other 7 fighters are from Universe 7. The thing that will have the biggest factor in who wins the tournament is the format and rules. If there is no winning stays on then it does not matter how much stronger Goku is compared to the rest of the team as they will need all fighters to perform well.

Oh thats right, Gohan should know all the properties of poison, I mean he is a schoolar and he is supposed to be a smartass, time to show being tutored by Chichi was worth the time.

I'm now believing the fight could end up in a draw, because of the scene with Daishinkan and the 2 Zenos appearing to be happy in the NEP, it really makes me believe Gohan vs Lavenda will be a very close fight.

So, basically the Toei Character section only has a new addition whenever the upcoming character is going to speak/have a dialog.
This is why we saw U11 Kaioshin even though he only said "Toppo!" and also that's why we didn''t see the U9 angel in this page...he said nothing.

I'm curious to know who else are they going to add! :?:

I hope for the dub they get Dannie Deveto to reprise his role as the Lorax.

No need for your douchey sarcasm. Nobody said anything about the properties of poison. Just how to fight with your vision gone. Do you not realize how many fights are out there where somebody is in pain and not able to fight with their sight? The fact that you came at me like that as if I was making an absurd statement is a pet peeve of mine.

I wasnt being sarcast, I actually forgot about it, I have terrible memory. No need to get mad for a misunderstanding.

I was going to say, if Gohan remembers how to fight while being blinded he could wait for Lavenda to attack then put him into a submission hold, forcing him to pass out, Zenos rules imply the fight ends either until Zeno is pleased with the fight or the person cannot longer fight.

We havent seeing a fight end up with a submission move in DB , so this could the perfect opportunity to let it happen.

Hey thats Super in a nutshell when it comes to PLs  and why we will see the support characters being relevant.

I like the Gohan discussion because his fight is the most unpredictable fight of the exhibition matches, It could go either way, I mean before the spoilers for Episodes 79 and 80 came out, most fans were already expecting Gohan to get humilliated when his treatment in Super hasnt as as bad as it looks.

I will be pleased if Gohan looks strong and the Gods give him props as someone who have to keep an eye in the tournament besides Buu and Goku.

I thought that Boo attack was a powerful variation of Basil's technique thus explaining the same beam color.

Please, Krillin, Tien and Roshi could probably not even take a 200G Gravity Room training, last a whole day (year) in the RoSaT, I don't think Whis would soft his training for them as it would bring no benefit, but I can see Gohan and Piccolo training with him though.

Well, I always wanted to see Gohan outsmart his opponent after being stomped by Boo-tenks in a vexatious way, reminding him of basic combat stuff that he forgot in that match. But there are different ways of intelligence, so his knowledge might not help him this time.

.
When he copied the Kamehameha, his version was pink, all his versions are pink..
It would have made sense if he also used feet to fire the blast if he copied it I guess, it looked just like a Kamehameha to me

Krillin and tien could most definitely last a whole year in the HTC if kid Goku can last around a month in there.

If Whis can't adapt his training schedule, then he's a bad teacher. It's as simple as that.
