Me too! I'd prefer EoZ a little bit, but it won't kill me if it's set before that.Chuquita wrote:Both years have their good points. I'll take either one.

Taking the issue in logical way, I'd expect the show to pick up after Majin Buu saga( just as it was already revealed) featuring Uub's birth, to have some episodes after Resurrection "F" and continuing with Goku's departure along with Uub, their training and finally presenting the new villain(s).Marco Polo wrote:If Super takes place before EoZ... Oh man, I can't wait for the info! Since it's visuals, maybe it's some screenshots or something? Still, I'm excited.
As for where it takes place, I prefer before EoZ because:
1. We might actually get to see the different universes somehow.
2. It's better to have the EoZ left to interpretations (if you understand what I'm saying). I don't think we need to see what happens after, since we already have that DB online stuff about the future.

Basically, a poster. Think of any of the posters from the first 13 movies, or Buu arc-Kai's main image of Super Saiyan Goku.SMKirbyZX wrote:Oh man, I can't wait for the info! Since it's visuals, maybe it's some screenshots or something?

Personally, I hope it's set after F, but if it isn't, that's just the way it is. I just don't want to see them all old. And that is how Toriyama Sensei described them.
Vegeta is nearly 50, Mr. Satan is bald, Krillin, Roshi and Tien will be as old as dinosaurs.

Just one look to Goten and Trunks and we can tell the timeline right away.
Forever kids = Before EOZ
Finally older = After EOZ
Like expected, next week gonna rock.
E3 + Super = Super week.
Now, its finally time for me to get hyped.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but don't say Vegeta looked old. He looked the exact same as before except with different clothes.

Woah, Hakaba Kitarou Episode #1 is incredible. Series Director Chioka Kimitoshi was the enshutsu (episode director) alongside Hatano Kouhei, who also provided the storyboard. Animation Supervisor Kudo Hidemi did some incredible things with the character designs from Yamamuro Tadayoshi. The storyboard was really atmospheric, too. I hope Hatano Kouhei can work on Dragon Balll Super. If this is Chioka unrestricted then this new series should look fantastic. Screen captures don't do it any justice, but give them a look.

Age wise, he's still nearly 50. The others look their age, especially the humans. You have your opinion, I have mine.Marco Polo wrote:Please.DBZ_Lee wrote:Vegeta is nearly 50

Yeah, the Saiyans won't look old for as long as they want. Genes and all that. That doesn't mean I can stand Goten and Trunks not GROWING UP. Seriously. I don't care if its EoZ, Goten and Trunks would be at least 13... even Gohan was shown to have a growth sprout even before that age. They need to look older, that's a must. Show Mai as a teen too if needed but don't leave them as shrimps.
Check out Journey's End, a short story of Goku and Vegeta's final days. "Time is running out for the last two Saiyans"

Age is but a number to Saiyans for most of their life. We have all the tidbits on Saiyan aging, as well as Bluma outright saying Goku and Vegeta never change while yelling at the former for saying she looks old. Both Vegeta and Goku are still physically in their 20s.DBZ_Lee wrote:Age wise, he's still nearly 50. The others look their age, especially the humans. You have your opinion, I have mine.
Anyway, it's not like they can't tweak the characters designs so that they don't look so old. For example, Kuririn looks older in the Buu Arc than he does in BOG or F, yet we know that isn't the case. Just give him a new set of clothes and a new haircut and it'll fix a bulk of the problems.

Why would you be mad? They can still cover post EoZ, it's a series, not a movie, and then we would have best of both worlds and get to see Ssj2-3 again before they are forever blue.Marco Polo wrote:If Super takes place before EoZ. Ugh...

Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
It will definitely be a low chance of them doing that, but it will be great if they are able to pull Ultimate Blast opening animation for a Dragon Ball Super episode. Since we got a very good series director, I hope that he will let talented key animators do their own storyboard in addition to his, with good frames and compositions.
I know I am late to the reply, JulieYBM, but I've watched Naruto #82 and its animation was wonderfully done. Lots of good key frames and movements. The way Itachi's casting Tsykuyomi on Kakashi was drawn was very good. I've moved on to Naruto Shippuden and the jump in the animation quality was very apparent. I can't put my finger on which episode I watched that had shown how good the director and key animators were, but when Uchiha Madara was revived and went straight to the battlefield just before his confrontation against five Kages, the fight scenes was very smooth and fluid. The episode when his Complete Susano'o was shown off to the Kages was also done pretty well too.

Well, seeing as the majority want a more grown up Goten and Trunks, I don't see any reason why they just can't have them grow up a bit, then it's job done for the most part.TheDevilsCorpse wrote:Age is but a number to Saiyans for most of their life. To be honest, I do think it will go to the end of the manga anyhow. In my opinion, I don't necessarily like it, but I'm sure if Toriyama Sensei has come up with the Story, then it will still entertain me.
Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
I'm fine either way, but of course it would make sense to keep going with the timeline and team of the new story (meaning the new movies).
The epilogue is just what an epilogue is: a bonus after the final chapter that you were theoratically not even supposed to know about in the first place and that is just there as a parting gift, just to have "one last glimpse" as Toriyama says in the manga. It is not the start of anything we're supposed to see, it is already WAY beyond the end we're supposed to see.
The maximum potential is before that. With a numerous, youthful and active team.
And of course Goten and Trunks won't have grown up, they are the "cute kids" elements of the cast that kid viewers can relate to and adore, they can be allowed to grow up only once Pan can take over as the "cute kid" element of the team of warriors, and for that she must be at least epilogue-sized.
Anyway, I said I wouldn't come to this section when the episodes air, but if it's shown that it's before the epilogue, Sunday will be the first day I never come back to the Super section.
Don't want to see all the unnecessary meltdown for a decision that ultimately makes perfect sense to have a charismatic team of heroes in exciting adventures, just like the excellent recent movies.
During the whole course of this new show, I will not let my excitement and enthusiasm be tainted by major whining all around (which automatically happens with anything these days).
