According to Gothax you just ask. Salagir has said before, I believe, that they're always looking for new artists.

I do think that Gothax is a good artist but this is pointless....But I do hope that the people on the comments of DBM do behave so we can get 3 pages per week from Gogeta jr.
It's not too late. One day, it will be.

Salagir would either approve or lower his head shame. None-the-less, I need draw some new DB art and send it his way. Hopefully I'll I can be a guest artist for a nice perverted story that would make Toriyama proud. *Please, please, please, give me something with Bra, Vegetto, or Kat.*

And this artist ain't so bad. Sure his proportions are sometimes a lil weird looking but he does do some great shots on occasion

I don't know about you, but that was horrible. Just look at Broly in that last shot.

Is that a real page? Those are some seriously ugly drawings...

Well, I'm sure we'll find out in time. I think, though, that he was sent back by Bulma to look for salvage.

There's nothing 'ugly' about it at all.

Uh, well, he did this chapter about a year go. And, um, seriously, I'd like to see you do better. :?

Ugh. I was rather expecting this sort of thing in the DBM comments. But here? I don't think I've ever been this disappointed in this community before. :?

The art isn't the best, and it really sticks out being amongst the Gogeta Jr. art. While I applaud Salagir's attempt at getting these chapters out by using alternate artists, the 'American superhero comic book' approach is going to garner some criticism until he can get a stable level of quality down.

I figured I'd redraw a panel just for the hell of it, and this is how it turned out:
Image

I didn't use any reference image, just my (rote) memory of drawing Dragon Ball Z images for so many years. The tone was used because I feel it looks more natural than the obvious computer shading. I'm also aware that my line art has its imperfections, but it was drawn by hand as opposed to using the pen tool. You can see how so many hair lines in the original are literally just straight lines. Also it doesn't look like there was any sketching done, as if the image where to continue to the top, his head would go right through his hair on the right side.

It's also worth pointing out how in the original Trunks' jacket just mysteriously disappears.

I disagree, but you are entitled to like whatever you want, so I'm not going to say that it is "wrong" for you to like it.

Basically everything I wanted to say. The artist's drawing isn't ugly but it's certainly flawed. Supreme Stephan put some very interesting comparison the original art and the artist's that furthers prove that point.

Wow, that looks like it was done in MS Paint.
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!
