Agreed. The Holocaust was nothing compared to the One Piece dub.

Or the Permian Extinction event, which wiped out almost every living thing on the planet, making the extinction that killed the dinosaurs look like nothing.

But yeah, I still prefer Brice Armstrong's Ginyu, but I have grown to like R. Bruce Elliot's Ginyu (It did help that I loved his work as Richard Moore on Case Closed).

As for Jheese? It's okay, but I think Sabat could have made his Jheese into something workable, if he tried. He moved Recoome from mentally challenged to simply moronic, I think he could have toned back some of his old flaws with the Jheese voice and pulled something good out.

Sabat's was really good. In the UUE when he played Jiece and said "That basterd killed Guldo" it was really just awesome acting. Recoom like I said before never bothered me, sounds pretty good.
For Kai I guess Sabat did not really want to voice everybody again. Having something different was FUNi's thing right? Treating it as a "whole new series".
My favourite art style (and animation) outside Toriyama who worked on Dragon Ball: Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru, Masaki Satō, Minoru Maeda, Takeo Ide, Hisashi Eguchi, Katsumi Aoshima, Tomekichi Takeuchi, Masahiro Shimanuki, Kazuya Hisada

Now that's just silly. The genocide of six million people is no laughing matter when compared to the dub of a silly Japanese cartoon.
A Dragon Ball/Urusei Yatsura crossover would be awesome.
Having Toshio Furukawa balance between Piccolo and Ataru would be hilarious.

There's a line. And some would say you crossed it. Some things don't need to be made a joke of.

I wasn't making light of the Holocaust. It was the most terrible thing to happen to our society, and I hope that anything like it never happens again. I was making fun of Attitudefan's post, which said that the founding of 4kids was the worst thing to happen on Earth.

I on the other hand, make light of the Holocaust all the time.
I'm just a big dick like that.

Though relating to the topic, I'm glad FUNimation is so on the ball with Kai. It's great to hear there's so much material ready to be aired.

Lulz me too.

It happened decades before any of us were conceived, I don't think it's too soon.

Next, someone will mention the volcano eruption at Pompeii and someone will be like "DUUUUUDE, NOT COOL!!"

Took Funi nearly a full decade and half to do a good dbz tv dub but they FINALLY did it.

And fancy that- little kids aren't running away in disgust because there aren't any techno synthesizers or "Rock the Dragon" blaring away! Who'd ah thunk?

Took em way too long but better late than never I suppose. I still don't get why after they started dubbing other stuff good (bgender, fbasket, hakusho) they insisted on crapping on dbz for so long but again, better late than never.
Sean Schemmel is THE MAN! :)

I guess it's okay to tell Holocaust jokes... if Julian thinks it's cool.

:? making fun of me eh?
It was the most terrible thing to happen to our society
So I guess we all have to be pollitically correct all the time huh? (off topic)

(on topic) I think the best thing to come out of Kai is the cursing! It's nice to hear it instead of flat "darn you. Your a monster."
Swears for all :D

But you do get plenty of people, mostly the ones in youtube comments talking about how they want all the old voices back, want Faulconer's music back and thing all the new voices and music suck.

Still, the most vocal people are generally the ones who are the angriest and most negative. (like the Tea Party)

Pre-ordered part 2.

I wonder just how different the dialog will be this time around. Not any new attack names floating about, except for that Kienzan Krillin throws at Vegeta's tail, but I doubt they'd change that for TV.

Hopefully Krillin's VA get it right this time, So instead of saying "Kienzen" It's "Kienzan"
