So... is there any particular reason why this isn't open to the North American audience? I mean, Namco Bandai does sell DB games here too; do the different branches/regions not do any cross-marketing or anything? I'm sure we would've had well over 100k likes if it was opened up to other countries.
Nothing matters (in a cosmic sense.) Have a good time.

I think it's pretty pathetic for a company to beg for meaningless likes in order to reveal more of a upcoming product.

It's a fairly common social media marketing tactic to hold "like" (or follow on Twitter) campaigns to reveal information on new products. To them it's not "meaningless" since users are essentially subscribed to their news feeds, and will constantly be fed information on the product pre and post-launch. Think of it like an email newsletter except without having to have the reader actually open up an email. Not only that, due to the way Facebook operates its' pages the owner can quickly find the demographics (age, gender, location, etc.) of the people who are subscribed to them, which would help with other marketing initiatives.

This is getting kind of annoying... If this doesn't get to 100K soon, Namco Bandai will just have to make an denouncement regardless of the like count.

They think that more likes will get them more popular = more exposure for their product.

Or what Super Saiyan Prime said. :P

They probably just think that it will increase sales if it's just from Europe.

I'm not sure we'll even get to 100k like this (it's really too slow now) until we're in May 2013.

So regardless, they'll announce it at E3 2013 where all the game publishers and developers reveal their software (games) and hardware (consoles).

It''ll be from 11th June to 13th June. http://www.e3expo.com/

I'm sure we'll hear about it sooner, Ultimate Tenkaichi was announced through WSJ in early May.

It's been like a decade since the last time a Dragon Ball game was announced at E3. It would be especially misguided this year given the hype surrounding next gen platforms.

93,846!
Why has it jumped so much?

Edit
Refreshed after just below a minute and it's gone to 93,968!

94k now! 100k by the end of the day at this rate, easy!

EDIT: A German fan site has supposedly put a link to the FB page and told people to like it. :)

That's great! Hopefully they'll have 100K within the next week or two!

Wow that IS a big jump. So how will the information work? Will someone have to manually watch for it to hit 100k or will the page automatically open up at that point?

Someone bought likes for the page. That is so wrong. :|

Just like an hour ago it was 91,900-ish now it's 95,188 likes.

it's just meant to be a German DB fan site telling people to like it, nothing to do with buying likes. :)

Hard to believe that they'd just get from 91k to 95k in a short amount of time from a German fansite, it's suspicious, but there's a 50/50 chance of it being true.

This looks very much like such but we should just ignore that and be content that whoever's doing it is getting the page to 100k likes as Namco Bandai wanted it. It doesn't feel right, though. :?

I'm sorry but I don't see why it's a hack. A fan page on Facebook has got the word out, and it has 114,711 likes.
