They said they didn't have the rights to Super.

If you want big announcements you'll find them with Marvel and Dc.

Most DBZ questions are likely "say over 9000 or I am the hope of the universe". It's rather sad. Americans are so stuck on the distorted Faulconer English dub that Boo saga Kai at this point seems unlikely.

FUNi's industry panel starts now, they say they have amazing announcements but I am not holding my breath for Kai. They'll probably still show trailers for BoG...

Well it was worse then I imagined, they spent the whole panel showing trailers of old releases and their big announcement was the release date of a delayed release (Eva 3.33), not sure why they bother coming to these cons but whatever. Viz totally destroyed them this weekend.

I feel like whenever FUNi does announce this, a whole lot of people are going to be disappointed because they wanted/expected a Super announcement rather than the continuation of something that ended in 2012 and is just a re-telling of an existing story. I'm not one of these people (I'm really looking forward to this), but I can imagine there being a letdown unless both this and Super are announced at the same time.

Well the accurate dub is definitely why I'm looking forward to it. I just don't think a lot of fans care too much or know about the dubbing improvements (not the ones here, of course). To them, it's just rehashed material instead of a new story.

Can you give me examples of the American dub's inaccuracies during the Buu saga?

A big one is that Goku's still a "superhero". He tells Gotenks-Buu that he has "finally found a way to make him pay for his crimes".

So I was at NYCC this weekend and I bumped into Justin Rojas. I asked him as a joke to tell the higher ups at FUNi that "his boy Conor asked if they could just announce Buu Kai already." He said he'd totally get on it.
