To cut or not cut Black out of my Future Trunks arc remake

The Goku Black mystery was too good to cut. Although Toyotaro seems to be cutting it from his perspective. Maybe wait and see Toyotaro's take on the entire arc first.

That's what I'm thinking. I really like Black as a character but I REALLY hate all the time travel stuff I'd have to do to make his existence work, plus a whole bunch of shenanigans with the Super DBs.

Don't need to go for the time travel stuff if you want Black to exist. Just use Whis' theory about Black being a product of the Super DBs but molded to his image. It gets rid of the scene where Black kills Goku's family but keeps the rest of the character intact.

Kind of defeats the purpose of them being the best DBs evar but I think I can roll with it.

Not really, I think that the story kinda overlooked that detail, since a Saiyan's life is so short compared to a God. Then again, you can just handwave it as "Zamasu's lifespan was also transferred to the new body... somehow".

Beerus died in Trunks' timeline. Kaioshin probably never died in Cell's, because Babidi probably never went to a barren Earth.

Still, it's not like Black can't kill Kaioshin to remove Beerus, he's fairly powerful in both the anime and the manga, definitely the strongest of the Kai's we've seen. Beerus also sleeps a lot so unless he's active at the point Black wants to leave to, he shouldn't have to worry about either of them.

I'm leaning more towards him thinking that Trunks' time already had a dead God, meaning less work for them to do
Another necessary change would have to be making both Whis and Beerus linked to the Kaioshin, the actual series has Whis disappear until.... Someone appoints a new G.O.D.

That's pretty clever. Which stage of Goku performs this? It sounds like something Kid Goku would come up with.

Yes, I can see the resemblance. Maybe another colour would help differentiate it if that's your goal. As for the name, the technique strikes me as a Wave more than a Cannon. Still, neat!

I'm not quite sure which one's my favourite, so I'll just go through three picks.
First, Bulla's Princess Flash. To start, Bulla charges energy in her right arm. She's able to continue the battle while concentrating her energy, though she can't use that arm and charge time becomes longer. Then she launches a pink and magenta energy wave, similar in texture to a star, from her right hand.
Second, Bran's Glittering Destruction. Super Bran (Bulla and Pan's dance fusion turned Super Saiyan) collects her energy in her fingertips and flies over an area while releasing tiny balls of densely packed energy. The orbs fall like snow over the area. When she runs out of energy or has covered the area completely, Bran does a twirl and causes every energy orb to explode simultaneously.
Third, the Ultimate Kai's White Gale. The Ultimate Kai is a fusion of all Kais, Supreme or not, in Universe 12. To perform the attack, the Ultimate Kai first creates a slightly turquoise energy shield which renders her invincible while she concentrates her energy. Then, that barrier shatters into tiny, sharp fragments which get carried towards the opponent by a large, pure white energy wave.

How strong would each character be, compared to the current strongest characters in Super, if they all realized their potential?

Yeah, I'm... not really sure what you're trying to ask here. Do you mean how strong people would be if they trained instead of in canon where they don't? Or do you mean realising their potential like Ultimate Gohan?
It's a perfectly relevant question for this thread to ask how strong people think a character in your fanfic should be, by the way.

Do you mean how strong people would be if they trained instead of in canon where they don't?

Yeah, pretty much. How strong do they need to be until it stops being believable that they could reach such a realm of power?

Assuming they reach all their potential? The hybrids would make their dads completely irrelevant, for everyone strength gain Goku & Vegeta make, their kids would make 10 in roughly the same amount of time.

With their full potentials realized, I can see Gohan, Goten, and Trunks all pretty much stomping everyone up to the Grand Priest.
