Unless they hide the truth from Chi-Chi, the most likely reason for the kids absence is a no children rule. Like they did with the monster rule for the U6 vs U7 tournament, an excuse to remove Boo.

Chi-Chi has already show that she's not that strict. She let Gohan train with Goku and Piccolo while waiting for the Androids and even let Gohan go to Namek.

The only thing we can do is wait one or two episodes to find out. Then we can be outraged or accept the reasonable explanation. This topic has been over-discussed by now.

Chichi was using Goten as a substitute Goku since he was dead. After he was alive again she was more concerned on him having a bright future. Regardless of people moan about how Chichi treated Gohan what she did worked so why wouldn't she want to do the same for Goten.

She makes super Goku look average. Let's be honest, Goten and Trunks aren't being utilized because Toriyama doesn't want to for some reason. Chi Chi doesn't have the ability to stop anyone who is determined enough from doing anything. She's just a hate sink because having someone to hate makes it easier.

While I like Goku far more the Supe's, I've come to appropriate the character a lot more in resent years. There are many very good and interesting stories told using him and theirs a lot more character and nuance to him then most would think. There's a reason that Superman is one of the most iconic super heroes in the world and its not just because he's super powerful or been around for years. "Extremely boring and walking plot device" are words I would like to point out are used to label Goku by his detractors to. In both cases there wrong as Superman and Goku are very interesting as characters, not just because they are strong.

When I said Jiren was going to be the DB Superman, I mean he's the opposite of Goku. He's a person who genuinely cares about the lives of others. Goku wants to be strong and fight strong people, Jiren wants to be strong to protect people and help his universe.

Having our unconventional Goku go up against someone who is a true hero in a battle to save their universes sounds very interesting to me as we have never had a situation like that in the series before. It would shine a light on Goku's flaws but also his strengths as well as those of more conventional heroes.

The summary says "They" start recruiting fighters the moment they come back, Boo probably isn't gonna do any recruiting, so that leaves Goku and Gohan. Then IIRC the preview before this said it was specifically only Goku that went to get Kuririn and 18, so that most likely means they split up, to look for the members.

And unless Gohan went to go chill with Videl, when the tournament starts in 40 hours (Which is ridiculous lol), the chances of him looking for Piccolo alone are pretty high IMO. But we'll see, for all we know Boo and Gohan could be with Goku the whole time, and the preview just forgot to mention they were with him.

He seems pretty boring to me, I did mention plot device in some cases to avoid the confusion..

I'm hoping that is jiren character,he is Happy and he has a strong sense of Justice and a great sense of humor,like seriously we don't need another stoic rival for Goku, because hit already accomplished

Uhhh no they didn't ruin super saiyan.. Both of them are the offspring of Goku and Vegeta. Two of the strongest Saiyans to come out of their race. It's pretty obvious where they get their power from.

Man I am so mad they spoiled Black reveal in the key visual, that whole first episode made it ambiguous right until the last second and man that reveal would have floored me and everyone so bad, I really am not a fan of this spoiler culture that we are currently living in.
