Krillin never really came out of retirement in that small arc. He trained to get stronger again but he's still not practicing full-time like Goku and the others.

To be fair, Goku Vegeta Tien and Piccolo are the only ones who can be full time at this point. Everyone else has lives. He can still be a martial artist without devoting his entire life to it. I'm not jumping the gun on these previews though. I don't think they'll completely disregard the filler. People needed to stop going crazy over previews .

Exactly this fanbase loves to jump the gun over everything at first glance we need to see the next episode and how he performs against gohan next week to see he stands in power.

So am I. I'm expecting the manga to diminish it pretty greatly , but I don't really care because the anime has been the main product to me for a long time.

He did, he literally said "Goku, I want to become strong like you, I'll become a martial artist again, for me... no.. for Marron I suppose" unless he thinks jackshit about what he said back then and didnt care for Marron anymore to look cool infront of his kid.

I actually watched that episode a couple of times and he never said he become a martial artist again . He shaved his head and offered to spar with Goku but thats it. He even said at the beginning I'm not becoming a martial artist again, but I do want to get stronger for my kid and my wife.

They've never been that inconsistent. Especially when it comes to things less than 10 episodes ago. People really overestimate the inconsistency of super.

Rewatch it again, around the time Goku and Krillin were flying back to Roshi's place, he literally said "Ore, mata budokan yaruyo" "I'll do martial arts again"

That's what he said at the BEGINNING. At the end he said he was becoming a martial artist again. 'Twas supposed to be development.

Goku might remind Krillin whatever happened to his promise of becoming a martial artist again but Krillin would reply that he doesnt any training partner and entering martial arts tournaments at this point would be useless to him

Gohan seems to be set up as the side fighter with goku instead of vegeta this arc..

That is true. Goku did reference pretty much what happened to Kuririn in episode 75. Wouldn't that mean those two episodes did happen?
