Which ones, just the ones that are arguing? or discussing? or the ones throwing insults. I'm being careful not to throw insults.
Yeah, just the arguments in general.

Who's the one freaking out again? I'm sorry but you need to practice your own preaching.
Says the man who does nothing but moans and bitches whenever anyone insults the dub.

Oh boy! I'm so excited for this release! I love the fact that we Dragon Ball fans in America are finally getting easy access to Dragon Ball footage! :D

Yeah, that's why I'm getting it, too. Great quality, no blurring, and it's the fucking Dragonbox! :D

And marathoning the series with Dragnbox quality = Win in my book.
Next quest: Buy the Super: Broly and Super Hero Blurays, also Daima whenever that releases in the states. Also the Super Manga!

Fan of Dragon Ball Z and various other Anime since '98! ^^

Ahh, ugh, say again? I'm a dub fan and Japanese fan, and I have watched the Japanese version of Dragonball and I know what it's about. And another thing, why do they need to know what Dragon Ball is about(Who is to say they don't in the first place - huge assumption)? Can't they just enjoy it. That is what really matters, is that they enjoy it. This is a cartoon we are talking about, not someones life. If they choose to enjoy something, that doesn't make them less inferior to someone else.

Also, that doesn't make them any less of a true fan than anyone else. Putting someone into a degrading category is just proving like you have some sort of ego that you think you are a better fan than they are. Over what? A cartoon show?

He was degrading fans with a certain preference that they liked which was the Bruce Falconer score.

That is just a very arrogant statement in itself to say they don't know what Dragonball is about if they like the English Dub.

He implies Casual fans. Which means , that people that like the English dub aren't true fans.
You assume I think I'm better than you or someone else, then tell me I'm making huge assumptions. There isn't much leeway between a casual fan and a dub fan. And sicne we're throwing around semantics(you claiming "casual" is an entire different entity than "dub," and should be treated as such) I did say "most." And in an earlier sentence, I said "isn't much leeway," which is to imply that the differences between a "dub fan" and a "casual fan" are minimal at best.

And no, it's not an ignorant statement. Are you even aware of how many alterations there are? Edits in dialogue that don't really match what a certain character would say? Dub/casual fans who know almost anything accurate about the show are an extreme minority. I'm not insulting you, I'm forming an opinion based various comments and statements about the show I have heard over the years.

hey hey! Its not just America you know? I'm from Asia and I'm finally getting my very 1st DBZ DVD! Its my 1st time ordering online too! I just couldn't bring myself to get the HongKong or China's versions. I don't read Japanese too.

If only Funimation could release more information. I'm sure they know if the fans are gonna get the TV Specials and "OVA" already.

Man, Kaboom, you're totally doing it all wrong. You've gotta do it like this:

HEY. Cut the shit or the thread is getting locked. You've had a good 5 years or so to bitch and whinge at each other over inconsequential facets of the show's fanbase; now's the time to discuss an upcoming release in this thread. Any further off-topic posts will be deleted. WORK IT OUT.

Well I pre-ordered this a while ago, so I am obviously supporting this release.

Yeah... I don't have much else to contribute.

I'm not much for pre-odrers unless theres something extra with it, but I plan to buy it the day it comes out.

DB and Z are gonna kill my wallet in November.

Since the box is gonna have 6 discs and 2 DVD books, that means that at least 2 discs aren't going to be overlapping, unless they do those awesome "Page" things like on the CSI, 24 or Brittas Empire DVDs boxsets.

It doesn't really bother me as long as the discs are easy to remove and put back in the case.

Didnt they show the 2 'disc booklets' at the press release?

So we have 4 'pages' for 6 dvds so its probably 2 and 1 & 2 and 1 in the booklets.

I assume, the middle is the book. Am I right?, and then the left and right is where the discs go?
