Do you guys think that an original character is always going to be good? nope. They can also make something new and original about this Broly.

I seem to recall a lot of hating on Jiren and Toppo round these parts.

Because people don't understand that new shit doesn't mean good shit and old shit doesn't mean badshit. Its all in how its done.

I also want to see the Saiyan girls, maybe we will them during a flashback or maybe at the end of the movie where we see Caulifla and Kale training togehter to become SSJ3 or maybe they will come visit U7... I don't know, but I'd be happy to see them in the movie.

I believe that this Broly was an ancient Saiyan from Sadala and probably the one who caused the destruction of the Planet. He was able to escape, but he ended up on the icey Planet where he got frozen for years. Maybe it will be the Freeza army which will discover Broly’s hibernated body.

I'd actually prefer it if Broly is a tragic villain. One we feel sorry for but know he has to die. If they make us feel sorry for him job accomplished.

I think they meant Universe 7's Planet Sadala. It was destroyed in an "internal conflict" which lead to the Saiyans migrating to and conquering Planet Vegeta.

They don't need Broly to make money, if there's Dragon Ball in the title that's enough, people will watch anything even if its bad. So if Toriyama accepted Broly its because he saw something in the character and decided to work on him.

I mean, I'd wager that this case is probably a mix. Some suit suggested Broli because of money, and after rewatching the old films, Toriyama saw something in the character and decided to work with him (or at least thought there was more than enough there to spark ideas if he were already that popular).

Of course he will, Broly is the transformation, that's all anybody knows about him. If he doesn't get super jacked, his eyes don't turn white and his hair doesn't turn green, people are gonna flip their shit.

At first i was thinking as well, if he uses the Kale Berserker, how could he be so strong?
They have now used the 'old Broly transformation' for Kale. It's feasible they'll give him an adapated version for this movie.
Something that is comparable to SSG of Blue.

I’m sure Goku referred to Kales form as the LSSJ. Granted it was only during a preview, but it’s still something.

I can only imagine Bandai having a massive company party when Toei told them the new movie will have Broly... Sigh. They constantly pissed me off for 3 years using DBS brand to market the green bastard can only imagine how much worse it will be now he's in the actual series! This is worse than the fusions. (Oh no if they appear in the movie too so help me Kami... )

Bright side the talk about the movie is much more encouraging compared to ResF where Toriyama just said Freeza is revived and wants revenge. We got so much more this time around not from him but the producer, I'm clinging on to the "multi-layered" story comment!

If this movie becomes a hit, which it will, if the public screams for more Broly, if the Broly-merchandise sells massively, i see him return in a later movie of when the series resume. Defintely.

As a big fan of Broly, I hope they will do something interesting with this character and develop him more and more. Because if Broly works well then they should at least do something interesting with him.
