Where did you see people discussing that?
Honestly I could see it. I already said in the episode thread that the reason they left Rou Kaioshin on Earth while Shin went to search on other planets is because he is going to do the ritual again due to the lack of time. About a new transformation, the decider will be if Toei wants the merch sales now or wants to wait for a later arc.
Mostly on YouTube and Facebook.
I don't know, maybe Toei give Gohan fans what they want after a long time, but I think they will play safe this time.

Guys, I'm going to be straight with you. If you feel the show has gotten 'silly' ... it hasn't. You're just 'too old for this shit'. Seriously, 95% of the people in those boards do not fit the target demographic of the show, so don't expect the show to be 'everything you hoped for'. I'm referring to the people here who expect Super to be rich with dark moments, serious storytelling, meaningful characters etc etc. It won't. It's a show for kids. A show for kids being kids. Everyone in those boards has a manchild in him/her, clamoring to get out, and that's fine. But having unrealistic expectations (such as believing the show grew up alongside you) is naïve at best. Honestly, do you take seriously a story where the supposed God of Destruction halts his urges to blow up stuff in order to eat ice cream sundae? That's the show's silliness at full force, take it for what it is. The show hasn't matured one bit, so don't expect it too. Again, I'm not saying that's a bad thing. I'm saying *that* is DB and always will be.
I don't know, maybe Toei give Gohan fans what they want after a long time, but I think they will play safe this time.
The only way I could see it work would be if he did the ritual again but this time he gave Gohan a small ammount of god ki and gohan unlocked it little by little throughout the battle royal. But I agree that I don't think they will do it, especially with Goku already seeming like he will get a new form.

A jump scan that talks about him mention his ultimate back stronger than ever meaning he'll be far stronger than he was in buu saga.
In perfectly fine with just ultimate this arc. I just hope he'll be relevant next arc.

I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.

The scan didn't technically say he was stronger than ever, just that "Ultimate" Gohan was back. You're most likely referring to an altered scan that has started circulating ever since the original report. The altered one said "Gohan is back, stronger than ever"; the original text merely reported that "the strong Gohan of old who surpassed his father" was "back".

This. They've built him up and brought him back into the fray as a fighter. There's no reason not to have him stay relevant anymore.
There was no reason to take him out of relevance either, don't ever trust this series with your favorite characters, unless their name is Goku or Vegeta. tbh though if the next arc was just about Goku, Vegeta, Goten, and Kid Trunks. I couldn't even be made even though I definitely don't like those little shits.

Heck even Vegeta isn't completely safe for future arcs if the person who was the main character at one point wasnt safe.

Based on past interviews it sounds like Toriyama just didn't know what to do with Gohan post Buu. This is especially apparent during Resurrection F where Toriyama repeats the same "oh I didn't train so I got soft" plot element from back then. I'd like to imagine Toei or the Dragon Ball Room or someone pushed these new ideas forward given his massive role reversal in the new arc.

Well my favorites are Goku, Majin Boo, 18, Piccolo, Beerus, Hit, and Goku Black. Goku and Beerus are really the only ones I can still have faith in will be relevant after this saga of my favorites. Though I think Vegeta will remain relevant. Even though Gohan was the MC at one point, Vegeta has never been irrelevant in a saga. Chances of Vegeta fading into the background is close to zero imo.

Gohan was never irrelevant in a saga either at one point. It could happen to Vegeta although I don't think it's likely.
Yeah , I think Beerus will always be somewhat relevant. Even if he doesn't actually do much, they seem to love him being on screen.

People have wonder why Freeza own Planets with no life on them? Didn't real life Empires own land without any people living there? Freeza's empire could have use those planets to build bases and use the planet's resources for money.

Look, there could be several reasons for that line, they add more information with every episode or Toriyama answers questions at interviews all the time.

Super's power scale has always been hard to read, at least for me, so maybe ikari isn't meant to be god tier I can concede that. I will admit Goku and Trunks where the only SSJ transformation that I think were completely satisfying and justified. The emotional trigger was definitely there. Gohan's SS2 was great as well. Everyone else didn't compare. Trunks should have never had to go through Goku black to begin with in my opinion.
Just for classification, Trunks didn't have an emotional trigger in the manga. He was a Super Saiyan before Gohan died.

bullshit it damn well did put him god tier level considering he was able put black outta commission before the latter gained another zenkai don't know how you can say he wasn't ssjb level with ssj rage.
He put Black for a few minutes because it was a surprised attack and didn't even hurt Black in the long run. He even joked about how it may leave a bruise. Black also never said he got stronger from it and before then, Trunks did nothing against Black and he mocked him about it.
Still puts him in the god tier range trunks was able to trade blows with him and put him out with the galick gun he ain't stronger than black but sure as hell strong enough to do something to him where before he just got massively.
'God tier' range as a term makes no sense since the Kais are gods so they would be classified as 'god tier' range or whatever. And Trunks was still inferior to Black since he did no long term damaged to him, while Vegeta pushed Black and Goku melted Merged Zamasu's face.

Goku barely took a backseat in the Buu saga, at best he took a leisurely stroll round back while everyone else cried for him to come back.

I'm happy they learned their lesson, but it's too late, imo. The Omni Tournament is still doing nothing for me.
People keep saying this, but the Champa Saga did have pre-tournament build-up. The arc started in Episode 28 and the first match didn't begin to Episode 33. That is about six episodes, a month in real time.

In the anime, this is true but it has been explaining things as of late that we have been asking about in this arc plus the manga does give us explanations about things that we wonder and sometimes explanations about things that really don't need it.
Let's wait and see what they do or they might make a plotline out of it, like they did with the beerus- shin connection. Toei, Toyo and Tori between the 3 of them someone has the try and make this please the most amount of fans. then again the timeline is destroyed in the anime sooooooooooooo
I just hope that there is a connection between SSRage and the Female Broly's Green form.
I just want SSRage to be explained better. I have headcanoned it to be the polar opposite of SSBlue. It is as strong as Super Saiyan Blue/Rose, but those have perfect ki control and calmness. The SSRage has godly power strain and anger.
Maybe Vegeta and Goku will comment on the green-haired form and point out the similarities to Trunks' SSRage.

Which interviews? Cause I don't see why they had a hard time on that. I didn't like how they used Gohan in BoG, he could had a better performance than SSJ3 Goku against Beerus but the way they did it in the actual movie was fine as it served its puporse. Now with RoF, I don't know if was a marketing thing to have him needing to use SSJ again either or not it would be better to have Gohan fighting against Freeza to the start pushing him back until the latter uses his Final Form to turn the tables while Goku and Vegeta arrives the moment Freeza is about to kill Gohan. His character was never a battle addicted like his father but in the end of the manga he was the strongest non fused character, but it seemed to me that Toriyama forgot about that and in his mind Goku was the strongest by the end of his story or he in fact knew Gohan was the strongest and needed to have him weaker for whatever the reason as they could keep him strong to fight when necessary and still have Goku surpassing him with new transformations and such.
My god I felt like MaGyunia now overthinking like that
