How have you interest for this arc lowered?Khin wrote:My interest for this arc has lowered a great deal, but I do look forward to slim Boo and the Gods of Destruction and Kaioshin stuff. I’d be interesting to see how Champa will react to the plot against Goku and co., and hearing Gowasu’s thoughts on the situation.
Also, I really hope the shot shown in the manga preview of the arc that have all Gods of Destruction and Kaioshins together will happen in the anime. Otherwise, I would be very disappointed.

At the very start, I’m not really a fan of the idea of having another tournament. I was only very excited for the arc because we’re finally going to see the other Gods of Destruction, Angels, and Kaioshin, and now all them were already revealed.pacz360 wrote:How have you interest for this arc lowered?
Also, I’m not a fan to most of the new characters so far in this arc. Vermoud doesn’t seem to be as interesting as I thought he would be, Rou is a prick, Toppo is boring, and the wolf brothers have generic personalities. Basil has a cool fighting style at least, so he’s literally the only new character that I like so far.
There’s also lots of things that disappointed me in this arc, like the exclusion of Yamcha (biggest one), the design of Jiren, Vermoud’s personality, etc. And I don’t like the idea of having a battle royal.
Of course, there’s still several things that I’m looking forward to like the voice actors, female Broli, and my favorite characters fighting (Tenshinhan, Boo, Vegeta, and Muten Roshi). But right now, I’m really not as excited compared to the two previous arcs.
Maybe it’ll change once we’re finally going to meet the other fighters and we get to see more of the other gods.

Well its not really a tournament more of battle royal here plus vermoud personality could still be intresting depending on next week episode.Khin wrote:At the very start, I’m not really a fan of the idea of having another tournament. Yeah understand on yamcha like the guy myself but maybe he could do something if the gods send someone to destroy u7 earth. Again once we get to the tournament I'm sure things we'll get great as soon as we're done with the build up episodes.

Gowasu and Rumoosh were the chillest pair at the Zeno Exhibition match. It's the tea...XD
I'm really curious to see if Gowasu will stick up for Goku though!
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
It'd be nice to hear Gowasu's thoughts on all this. Even though he made a terrible judgement call in hiring Zamasu, Gowasu seemed like a nice old guy.
On hiatus.

But that's a very narrow way of seeing Superman. Especially since Superman isn't really a prideful person.FortuneSSJ wrote: It's not a matter of acting like Superman, but a matter of being an acclaimed Superhero like Superman and have pride on that.
That's not true. Yusuke and the others were treated like the villains in Dark Tournament arc by everyone except their friends. They were playing on enemy field, where 98% of the audience was made up of Demons that wanted them to die. Toguro's team was also the most popular one.
It's the same stuff that's happening in this arc. We know Goku and his friends aren't evil but they are seeing as such by the other Universes, while Universe 11, the main opponents, seem to be liked by everyone. It's the concept of the underrated team vs the overrated team.
They were treated as the enemy. Not the villain since they were literally forced to fight and the tourument was a staged execution for them. Especially with how many times the demons rigged the tourument against them.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
In my opinion this current Universal Survival arc is already better much better than every single arc besides the Future Trunks arc and its only like six episodes in.
I don't even know what any arc in super has over this one them this one besides tension and that's only if you want the story to be very serious and super has proven time again and again that it does not do serious very serious very well at all.
Its first fight was animated better than almost every single fight in the future trunks arc and is better than every single in champa arc,rof arc and Bog arc. Besides Goku vs Hit and Goku vs Beerus.
And it was just the first fight of this arc. I remember how bad I saw a lot of people were saying how bad the first fights of the Champa arc was. I saw nothing but praise for the first fights of this arc. The usage of techniques are great, I'm grad the fights won't just be power level measuring contest like it was in z mostly and techniques play a huge factor like in Original Dragon Ball.
Then we got a very good fight with Gohan, A good fight with Goku and Bergamo, and a amazing fight between Goku and Toppo, all back to back to. And these upcoming episodes sound great and looks to have great development.
Not to mention all of the new characters, have you guys seen how fast some of them have gotten? Such as Jiren,Marcarita,Vermound and more?
I would say arcs like this one and the Champa is the way to go. I see mostly everybody is pretty calm during these two arcs.
I saw how many times the fanbase got pissed and raged during the Black arc and I have notcied that when Super tries to be way to serious and complex something usally happens and then the fanbase rages.
Not to mention its usage of characters is very great, and its funny coming show that was called nothing but the Goku and Vegeta show during the Champa and Future Trunks arc.
I have not seen that Goku and Vegeta show meme any where since this current arc was announced and the episodes that led up to it and now during the actual arc it.
I now for a fact this is the reason almost zero focus has been place between Goku and Vegeta since the Black arc ended. The complaints of the fanbase seeing them the only ones that get to fight and get focused on and Akira/Toei listened and adressed the complaint this arc and the episodes after the Black arc.
Krillin has 4 episodes focused on him if you count the one that comes out tommorow and he is for sure to get a lot of focus in 86, Gohan has five if you count the two upcoming episodes and he has been treated as the second main character of this arc and is only behind Goku himself in focus. Buu has 2 if you count the upcoming episode 85. Android 18 has two, tommorow and 17 episode 86, Android 17 one as of now. Piccolo has episode 85.
I am loving all the focus they are giving to other characters now, the Goku and Vegeta focus got so damn boring, the Gohan and Goku focus is much better to me for some reason and its great seeing Goku interact with his kids now, does any body else feel the same as me?

Good points but I am more concerned about the minutes they get. If it is just buu in his slim form exchanging a few punches with goku, and piccolo exchanging a few words with gohan, that does not count as a focus episode. I hope they do more with them, going deep character wise as they did with krillin facing his fears; perhaps a feeling of redemption for piccolo, and who knows what they could come up with for buu. The options are plenty.ChaosLordBrandon wrote:In my opinion this current Universal Survival arc is already better much better than every single arc besides the Future Trunks arc and its only like six episodes in.

Yeah I agree with all of this.Totamo wrote:I recommend you drop then watch the whole arc in a row because this is just a tournament.Chuquita wrote:I'm so dissatisfied with the way things are going in Super in regards to Vegeta and Gokû that my patience for everything else in the story is incredibly low.
Like, I didn't feel a damn thing about this past weekend's episode even though it's supposed to be all "aww, baby". I used to be interested about Bra before Super began and now I just don't. It's like I just don't care about this arc and that's worse than feeling negative about it imo. I want an actual antagonist. I want Vegeta rescued from this vanilla domestic endgame. I don't care about Jiren or not!Brolli.
I want at least one positive thing to look forward to in this show again! Give me a reason to continue watching the day it comes out! I'm barely posting in the episode threads anymore because I feel so disappointed in where this show's going. I can put up with a lot as long as I'm getting the bare minimum of stuff to look forward to, but I don't even have that anymore!
If I hadn't enjoyed earlier portions of this series so much I'd have dropped it episodes ago and probably should drop it now since I'm clearly one of the few people not having fun anymore but I stupidly hold out hope that it'll get better.
Personally, I don't ever want super to be serious again. The writers can't handle it. I have never seen the fandom more hostile than I did during that arc. It can be heavily argued that the U6 arc was better than the future trunks one.
Modern dragon Ball is a cashgrab and I rather they be honest about it instead of trying to pretend like it's more like it did with that arc.
Just make it a fun show to watch, I'm tired of all of these debates when the show tries to be more than that. I am angry about the stupid fan theories and the angry reactions when they don't come true when the show tries to be more than that.
Super brings out the worst in the fandom when it tries to be serious. Never again. But that's just my opinion.
I have NEVER EVER seen the Dragon ball fanbase get that angry and that many times in arc a arc before future trunks one.
