So 17 loves being alone.. but adopted 2 kids? salute! he probably adopted those 2 kids because they needed a home, I have a feeling 17 has a soft side when it comes to kids, or everything I said can be ruined if the one that adopted those 2 was his wife

That just wouldn't make any sense TBH. In the past, Piccolo, who was on par with 17, and Vegeta have trained roughly the same amount of time (From Cell arc to Boo arc) and were no where NEAR SSJ3. In Vegeta's case he even had the gravity room which is how he was as strong as he was in the Boo arc. On earth there isn't many places to go that will give you a big boost besides the RoSaT, which it's obvious he didn't go there.

I personally don't think Toriyama/Toei's gonna make him that strong anyways, strong as SSJ2 tops.

Piccolo and Vegeta had already trained their entire lives up until that point. 17 hasn't trained a day. He has more potential for growth. We already know what kind of growth people can go through if they've never trained with Freeza.

More potential for growth? That's the epitome of head canon. I'm pretty sure 18 trains with Krillin occasionally and he's the strongest human in the world,( at least SSB levels- just kidding of course). Like I said I don't care about this at this point in Super but I'm not going to pretend that it's immediately justifiable. I'll wait for the explanation from the episode, but if things go as they normally do in Super it will be that he trained for a short time and discovered untold potential with a several magnitude increase in power after about a day and a half.

That's not headcanon. People who haven't trained a day in their life grow in strength faster than people who haven't. It's true in real life too. It's called newbie gains. Heck, the excuse for why Freeza grew so quick was because he hadn't trained before.

No. 17 likes to fight and treat it as if it is a game. Not to mention he values power and takes pride in it, and even bragged countless times in the Android arc on how he’s the most powerful individual in the world. It’s not really that surprising that he would train to get even stronger after the Cell arc, especially after his utter defeat at the hands of Cell.

Yep, there's been plenty of time for him to get stronger, it's not that crazy. No one ever taught 17 how to sense Ki, so that explains why the now stronger 17 never showed up during Buu or Freeza's revival as well.

I have been complaining ever since. I am giving the right image for Piccolo fans even if you don't like it.

Piccolo is getting recruited in this week's episode, calm down. Besides characters getting stronger off-screen has been going on since the early DB days so I don't get the complaints.

Krillin, 17, Piccolo and Tien all getting power ups off screen is ok but when it is just Krillin and 17 then it is definitely not ok.

Exactly given buu and 17 are getting stronger there's nothing that says piccolo who probably gonna trained with gohan this episode.

Well dont forget Gohan and Piccolo have meant to have been training all through the last arc till now so its fairly reasonable for him to have gotten stronger.

If that training was not a Toei only thing.

We don't know if Piccolo and Tenshinhan have gained anything yet. Let's just wait and see before jumping to conclusions.

About the training thing... not sure why people still doubt that stuff when Toei are the ones calling the shots here. That development obviously paid off for Gohan even though it took a while.

Bad idea, Goku's in the wilderness, he might get hurt from the animals that will see him as easy prey for their cubs.

He kinda did in a way held back to the point of a mere laser piercing right through him, all the while Freeza in his Gold form still infront of him, now 17 can shoot Goku from a distance then BAM, we got ourselves an injured or for worst case a dead Goku who will get revived via dragon ball for the tourny. Also keywords are "if he knows he'll get hurt".

Piccolo has been a major character since he was introduced, 17 has not. Toriyama should have kept him around and should not be bringing him back now and making strong when other characters deserve to have more screen time in an arc this big.

Nah...I doubt people will moan, since it seems 17 vs Goku fight will be interesting. And Gohan is going to recruit Piccolo in episode 85. You have what you want.

I'm looking forward to seeing 17 and goku,since toriyama admitted, That his line of knowing Goku voice during the genkidama was a plot hole since they never met,I just hope goku uses the ssj1 vs no 17, and said he got as strong as Goku in the cell game, because I want statements​
