A different Dragon Soul singer for each subsequent release, huh? Well isn't that clever of them! Gotta admit, this will make future releases all the more interesting, not to mention more anticipated.

Everyone should Tweet back asking for Sabat to do the next one as if it were an opera piece. :p

Its a cool idea that Dragon Soul will be sung by a different person on each version but at least they could get someone who can sing. I am looking forward to Christopher Sabat's version.

Fully agreed, a great idea that adds more spice of variety. Can we perhaps get a Chris Ayres singing as Freeza for volume 3?

Ugh, I bought Vol. 2 just because of the urge to watch these eps uncut. After all, I do have $2000 to work with, here.

FUNimation's really killing me with how slow they're releasing these.

I understand if they release them any faster they'll be competing with the previous release,

but at least put more than 13 episodes on a set... I mean, I watch that in one sitting the day I get it!

By the time part 3 releases and we're introduced to the Ginyu Force, we'll probably be done with Planet Namek altogether on Nicktoons!

Well new episodes start October 20th, and maybe they'll be back to 2 episodes a week.

Part 3 won't be out until late January, probably.

What episode are we at on Nicktoons now?

36, well 37 now. Unless they re-air 36 as the new episode once October 20th comes around. Since 36 being new this week seemed to be a one-time thing only.

I hope they get Vic Mignogna to sing it on the DVD like he originally intended to. His current version is terrible, he sounds too angry.

You realize that 13-episode seasons are standard for a lot of shows, right? Especially animation.

Plus, they have the Japanese releases to schedule around.

The industry standard for new shows is twelve-to-fourteen a set (or at least with FUNimation). Thirteen is the usual number they go with, though.

Unless a re-release comes buy...you're not going to get any more.

I understand.

Doesn't mean I like it.

You see, this is what I wanted. I thought it'd be cool if a different person sang it on every release.

But I think I just threw up in my mouth a little bit...

So has Japan or America released any "uncensored" Kai dvd's?
Sean Schemmel is THE MAN! :)

Me- "Also, before anyone mentions it, Schemmel's interview was from nearly 15 years ago. He paid a brief visit to Kanzenshuu's forums a few years back and earned legendary respect that cancels out anything he said from that long ago. :D"

So here's some interesting news.
http://www.nickandmore.com/2010/09/10/n ... y-weekend/

Nicktoons totally stomped Disney XD (its direct competitor in the extended cable arena) on Labor Day in all demographics. That day featured a mini-marathon of Z Kai, some Avatar, then a new episode of Dragon Ball Z Kai.

EAT THAT stupid live action Disney shows with identical twins whose careers will be destroyed and they'll be left to do yogurt commercials!!

This is great news. I can't believe I was ever worried that it might not get the proper attention on a channel like Nicktoons.

Huzzah! Once again, Dragon Ball "Z" rakes in the audience and ratings! Cartoon Network really missed out on this one... but somehow, I have no pity.

From what it looks like, Kai is helping Nicktoons gain viewers just as much as Nicktoons is making everyone aware of Kai.

Well said. The humour in those live action Disney shows is so..... bland. Not even the most immature of children would find them funny. Kids today also need to grow up with great shows like DBZ Kai. Or at least shows that have a damn plot.
