Probably not gonna happen. It'd take way too much time away from the actual new episodes.

Plus, I already answered that a few pages back.

Keep the early episodes as they are. It helps to show progress and that TFS has come a long way from their early days.

Also I think if they do, do that. It won't be exactly the same as the originals.

Man I still love the Goku/Freeza dynamic from Episode 27. I really hope that's a continuing thing for 28.

I think maybe he was wondering if this might happen AFTER the series is complete?

I don't know if this was already answered, but... Why is TFS Vegeta's vocal familiar to FUNimation's Vegeta? A Drummond-ish TFS'd would've been better. :P

I'm not going to lie: The original casting decisions were all, "Can we do a decent impersonation of the FUNi voices? No? Ok, try something else." It's why we've got Nozawa-esque Goku and Sabat Vegeta. We never thought to impersonate the Ocean cast, partly because none of us could DO decent impersonations of them and partly because the FUNimation dub has become the de facto English dub of the show at this point.

It's a bit funny. We started this not knowing how much things would change over time. Our cast has increased several times over, my editing has improved, recording qualities have improved, CASTING decisions have improved, our scripting and really, everything that goes into the show has improved. The show would probably be a different beast from the beginning if we were starting from the level we're at now.

Still nothing close to professional, but we keep pushing on forward.

Yeah, he sounds way better than Sabat even now that Sabat's improved in Kai (imo).

TFS Freeza Vs. Kai Freeza, hm... TFS Freeza is my pick for best English Freeza, his voice suits Lord Freeza so gracefully makes Chris Ayres a second best English Freeza.

Chris is excellent as Lord Freeza and love to hear his voice but TFS is something special and unique. :P

Lani's alright, but in terms of certain aspects of acting, he seemed to fall short (in one scene at least). I noticed he could not potray sadness well when he was crying because he was not a SSJ while fighting Freeza; however, it might have been that way on purpose. I do think his overall acting as Vegeta is better when not including that scene.

Since we're on the subject, TFS should have came up with original voices instead of doing impersonations. It's supposed to be a parody, thus original voices. If you were wanting to make a fandub then that when it would be appropriate to do impersonations. IMO.

Well Goku's voice is pretty original.

And I think that's backwards...lol In a parody, you should mimic the voices of the show and use what is familiar to the fans to help with the humor. For a fandub, you should ignore what has already been done and go in a new direction by using new voices that you think better fit the characters, because what is the point of dubbing something again with similar voices and typically crappier quality...

I do believe I covered in my post, earlier, that the casting decisions we made early on were somewhat haphazard. At the same time, we DID want to actually parody the dub as well, and the impersonations of Sabat DID help with that to a certain extent.

Guess that's why the Ocean cast is so good. Nobody can impersonate their voices!

+1 for Ocean
0 for Funi

(I trolled didn't I?)

One of the things that got me hooked when the first episode came out was the fact Piccolo sounded just like Sabat, or I should say Lanipator. I also notice his Vegeta voice is starting to differentiate with Sabat's Vegeta a little bit.

yeah, I loved the fact that certain characters were similar to certain VO's, I think using that portrayal was a great way to introduce the characters and highlight what their series have altered in their abridged retelling.
I believe that the series has been around long enough that the people in Team Four Star have settled into their roles enough that they have taken what was an impression more into their own versions of characters voice, I think that to me is what makes their version of abridged Goku so good.
