Oh, yeah, I forgot! In DBNA, Rou Kaioshin is stated to be a 2nd-tier god (normal Kaioshin). However, he is referred as Dai Kaioshin in the manga/anime. So...

Neither do I. I have the manga and he's always refered to as Old Kaioshin, great ancestor, and Lord of Lords, etc. He's never refered to as Dai Kaioshin or Great Lord of Worlds or anything

I recall him being called as such by Goku in the anime & GT (no dub), so I assumed that he was called like that in the original manga as well.

I have the Dragon Box sets, manga, and the uncut GT with original Japanese Dialogue. Ill look into it. Though I'm sure Goku always called him Kaioshin or 'Old Man'

I just got done watching GT and Boo Saga from Elder Kai's first appearance in Japanese, and sifted through my manga and translations. No mention of Old Kai being called the Dai Kaiohshin

Grand Kai
Grand Supreme Kai
Old/Elder Kai
Old/Elder Kai was never a Grand Kai. He was just the previous Supreme Kai of the East Galaxy.

It wasn't in his debut... let me do my research. 8)

If my memory serves right I believe he was called Rou Dai Kaioshin in GT. But I could be wrong.
"There are many types of monsters that scare me: Monsters who cause troubles without showing themselves, monsters who abduct children, monsters who devour dreams, monsters who suck blood… and then, monsters who tell nothing but lies. Lying monsters are a real nuisance: They are much more cunning than others: They pose as humans even though they have no understanding of the human heart; they eat even though they’ve never experienced hunger; they study even though they have no interest in academics; they seek friendship even though they do not know how to love. If I were to encounter such monsters, I would likely be eaten by them… because in truth, I am that monster."

I haven't forgot about Giru.

Also, in GT, Goku frequently calls Old Kai "Old Man Kaioshin" or "Kaioshin-sama". Kibitoshin calls him "Honorable Ancestor". No mention of rou dai kaioshin

If you google rou dai kaioshin, old kai pops up and that was what he was called in the manga As far as I recall. But you're probably right since I am not into the kai stuff, my head starts hurting thinking about all those kais.. Also he was called Lord of lords also.

He was called Dai Kaioshin once in the Buu saga by the young Kaioshin. Might be because he's essentially fulfilling his role now that there is no Dai Kaioshin, even though he is technically a normal Kaioshin.

I have all the manga appearances of Old Kai and he's always referred to as Old Man, Old Kai, Great Ancestor, and Old Kaioshin.

I think it's more likely that he simply fulfills the role due to his experience, but I went through the Buu Saga in Japanese and I never heard him called "Dai Kaioshin". Kibitoshin always calls him "Honorable Ancestor"

YOUR ART IS AMAZING! Also nice work with backstory. So in a way Boo was like Jesus but in a different way. Jesus was the image of God(IF I recall correctly) and God's son at the same time. So Boo is the image of Aladjinn
