BOG hello!
But he doesn't actually sport that look in the movie. It's just generic promotional character art for BOG. Like this is for him, too:

It's not obvious at all. I mean, sure, it can take place in that time period, but they can give a billion reasons for why Goku goes SSJ, or for any other thing you saw in the teaser.
If this does take place after Resurrection F, and Goku can still go regular ssj... do you think he'll still be going ssjg as well? The new form was just ssj with the power of ssjg, but maybe he can still use the two forms individually as well.

I have to say, I breathed a huge sigh of relief that I won't have to worry about the human characters needing oil of ulay. All joking aside, I'm so excited, though remember, the Manga is out next week, and that may explain when this does actually take place - post BoG, or Post "F".

Hmmm maybe while goku's farming and the kids are fighting a dinosaur, Vegeta fight's the all new Villain in SSJGSSJ Form a get's killed and walla you have a reason to need the dragon balls and the new Villain shows how powerful he is by killing Vegeta. While goku only went SSJ because he was messing around with dirt, and wanted to make it easier on himself with ought destroying the whole continent?

That doesn't make much sense considering the whole thing about the new villain being stronger than Freeza. I'm pretty sure they didn't mean Freeza from the Namek Saga when saying that.
I know it doesn't make much sense. In ROF Goku says that if he uses SSJ with god powers, his hair will turn Blue instead of Gold/Yellow(not with this words, obviously). Maybe Goku powering up is a flashback?
It could be a flash back, or the first few episodes of the series could be covering what happened between the defeat of Buu and the end of RoF, showing events we've not seen before, like the first time Vegeta became a SSG. That would explain why we see gold SSJ Goku and Beerus awake.
Screen captures. Doesn't look like anything to write home about other than two those cuts of Super Saiyan Gokuu being interestingly framed. It's a shame Yamamuro Tadayoshi is still the character designer, but I'm not surprised. The theme song sounds pretty awful, though. Talk about sounding bored out of one's mind.

Rewatch the first part of the movie again.
Crap, you're right.
When did he suddenly change his hairstyle in the middle of the movie, though?

I think it looks good. This is as little of a glimpse as they could have given us. I don't know the reasoning behind this...when we're so close to the air date I really thought they would have pushed this as much as they could from a marketing point of view. I thought we'd get a full trailer at least. In that regard it's disappointing.
It's hard to judge the content in this teaser. It looks like footage from the very first episode. I'm not sure what Gokus dialogue is but the footage gives little to nothing away. I'm pleased with the way it looks...the animation doesn't look bad. That was my main concern.
I'm not crazy about the theme music...meh.
I'm a bit disappointed with the length of the teaser but other than that I've got nothing to say about it because it's such a small glimpse.
The kids aren't fighting a dinosaurs, they're fetching a bottle of something from whatever and escaping a dinosaur who apparently wants the bottle or something

This! This right here makes SO much sense it hurts! That is what I thought myself.

Exactly. And based on his outfit, it surely doesn't look like he's in the midst of a serious battle that would require him to go full power. Nothing shown in the trailer is from any important moment.
Doctor. wrote:Looks like Goten and Trunks were training for something.
Or maybe they were just fooling around, doesn't explain why they had trouble against a dinosaur.
Haha, training for what? They certainly weren't dressed for training. I'm pretty sure they were just getting some water and then a random dinosaur appeared. Almost every filler episode of the anime featured a random dinosaur stealing something or getting in the way of something the characters are trying to get. It's TOEI's DB storytelling 101.

So why do Goten and Trunks look so young? Why is Goku and Vegeta not training with Beerus and Whis? Why does Gohan have his Battle of Gods design rather than his Revival of F design? You think if it takes place after Revival of F it would have some indicator or implication that it would, but everything in the trailer suggests it takes place after Battle of Gods instead of after Revival of F. The series will probably go after Revival of F eventually, but the initial teaser did not suggest that for the first episode.
I'm willing to bet good money that I'm right on this. Then again, it's speculation.
