Hopefully this interview reveals when toriyama started working on the survival arc because I have a theory that he was working on it since the champa arc

He finished his outline for the Future Trunks Arc sometime around or before February last year, so he probably started early work on this arc around that time.

I know that my theory is that the future trunks arc was made to give him more time to finish the survival arc that's why somebody working at Toei was the one that came up with the idea of bringing trunks back ( just something that has been on my mind )

If they are going to do paranormal creatures and such in Dragon Ball I feel like that's something an arc should be based around, not just rando fighters in a tournament.

If they are going to do paranormal creatures and such in Dragon Ball I feel like that's something an arc should be based around, not just rando fighters in a tournament.

Fair enough, having characters like that would help a lot in including lesser powerful cast in the story..
Having such fighters in the tournament should be a start though, these beings are capable enough to pose a threat after all..

If they have some weird shit like that I would honestly rather it be introduced in its own arc, having something so unique in Dragon Ball be just a stepping stone to the main fight between to dudes who punch real good would take a way from it a bit in my opinion. Having an arc based completely around something strange like paranormal creatures and the cast has no idea how to deal with them and have never encountered anything like them before would be a better way to handle it in my opinion. Keep in mind I'm talking more on the weirder side, other stuff you suggested like benders from Avatar would be totally awesome editions to the tournament for variety.

I wouldnt be surprised if they use some powers from OP/Naruto/FT/Bleach characters, like having a character that can do multiple shadow clones, eye powers like the sharingan, someone that inevitable screams BANKAI or someone that Goku,Vegeta and Gohan beats to a pulp and then that said character instantly hears his friends rely on him and shouts "its time, POWAH OF FRIENDSHIP... ACTIVATE" and we all know how that'll end

Well I wasnt exactly referring that the throwing billions of stars was the only thing that can do shit to them, more like those 3 I mentioned will make them look like shit especially Touma, have him touch a celestial being and poof, if that celestial being dares even destroy a single part of him his invisible thing will start to wake up and cause havoc, his name meaning "above God" isnt for show

I'm not really sure but I wonder what Goku ranks into when he goes blue... is he a God in a literal sense? cause if he is he would go poof like the rest of the angels and Gods if he so much lays a finger on him.
More like "Misfortune Fist" keh I'll stop. Indeed putting those types of powers in their enemies would be for final boss shiz, plot armor will be their sole salvation.
I feel like Jiren's will be a 90% melee fighter with a few blast moves, it would be better like that, DBS has finally gotten good with its c2c fights ever since this arc started.

That beautiful shot of them having a fist clash with that sunset BG and that last picture which sort of implies that 17 and Goku gets into a sort of deep conversation, this is someone we havent seen Goku interact with, really excited on their 1st ever interaction.

Sorry i had internet problems yesterday lol and i love the shot with 17 and Goku having that "deep" conversation but i wonder if they fight at the sun set and they get interrupted by the galactic poachers why does it seem like it's already night on that shot ?

It was stated in the recent interview with DBS producer where he said that Toriyama agreed that 17 has a great potencial.

I would like to see the source and great "potencial" is really vague in this series as you could say to almost any character.

From what I've seen and heard the dude isn't shit neither is accelerator here I need proof of him doing shit to around beerus level let alone any god tier in super.
Also gods varies in fiction so that don't mean shit honestly
