I mean, the fact alone that Piccolo was revealed not with or after Gohan but BEFORE Gohan heavily hints that Piccolo will be playing a more important role. I can only imagine the huge sigh that will come from the theater when wee see Gohan lookin like a neeeeerd.

My prediction,

Frieza will trick Paragus and Broly into attacking Goku and Vegeta.

At the end of the film Broly will realize he was tricked and take out Frieza.

I think it might be something like this too. IIRC it's not common knowledge that Frieza destroyed Vegeta and he used the cover story that a meteor hit the planet.

No idea how this movie will end, but if I have to choose which one dies between Broly and Freeza, I will go with Broly.
There's already enough Saiyans, Freeza just got revived again and he's a more interesting character (at least when compared to the old Broly), and now we have Kale.

Gohan's role as the secondary protagonist is over. Vegeta has reolaced him in that role. I dont think he will do much and it doesnt bother me at all personally.

I don’t know what arc you watched but Gohan was never swapped into the role of secondary protagonist in the T.o.P. Vegeta wasn’t replaced until the last 3 episodes in which Freeza took his place.

And unlike R.o.F, the conflict of the movie seems to take place on another planet. And it seems unlikely that anyone else is gonna join Goku and Vegeta from earth. Its already a surprise for Piccolo but for anyone else, they’re chances are low because, they would have been advertised along with Winter attire Goku and Vegeta. But instead, we just got winter Goku, winter Vegeta, and Freeza who doesn’t need a coat. Piccolo probably also doesn’t need a coat.

Wow. I'm shocked. But I'm ok with this. They have a chance to make Broly better.

1) The best thing was about Broly was his insane power and bulk form which I liked. But his hatred for Goku stemming from when they were infants was not a great backstory so they can make that better.

2) Hopefully Broly has a personality and thinks and talks. The other Broly was quiet in base and killer in LSSJ but that was about it. I want this Broly to have thoughts towards things. It'd be cool if he was the Saiyans ultimate weapon to beat Frieza but he got launched to the wrong place and never got to unleash it against Frieza. And now he gets his chance to complete his mission.

3) If Goku and Broly fight and Broly can tap into LSSJ then we can see who is really stronger between LSSJ and SSJB. Considering both Goku and Vegeta will be fighting, I'd venture to say LSSJ is stronger than one SSJB.

4) Bio-Broly was trash. I only read the story and after I saw how dumb it was I never watched it. So I hope that's gone for good.

And who was even talking about the Trunks arc? Vegeta wasmn’t even sidelined in that. It was always Trunks, Goku, and Vegeta who got the screentime. Some more than others but there was no huge gap. Vegeta was only sidelined for an episode when he got stabbed. And you must not have watched the U.S arc. Compared to Gohan, Vegeta had about 12 episodes where he was either the main character or on of the main characters. Gohan only had about 9. And this is counting the whole Universe Survival Arc. Sure Gohan had his spotlight many times but never as much as Vegeta.

As for the “Earth has Goku” thing, it seems like some unrelated line that was put to look cool and show that Goku is Earth’s defender. But you are right somewhat. I am assuming that the ice-area is just a planet of ice. But until we see Gohan in winter-attire, he ain’t gonna be apart of the final battle (and possibly the only battle).

Wasn't expecting to see Broly's new design so soon even though the image isn't very clear. Looks fine from what I can tell other than the green pelt around his waist can't say I'm a fan of that, but it'll probably look better in motion. Surprised to see SSG Goku make an appearance but I'm glad it's showing up. Also surprised to see Piccolo and the Freeza henchmen show up on that sheet but I won't get my hopes up of them doing anything significant in the movie.
