I was planning to translate this if no one else had gotten to it. I'll give it a closer look tonight but it's basically some words from a producer on the show about how characters like Roshi and Krillin will work out despite strength inflation. He also teases some stuff, telling people to look forward to the roles of each respective character, "to what extent will Gohan's battle intuition return?" etc.

What I was most interested in his the producer's comments about Toriyama's involvment, and also the rules of the tournament which could finally clarify whether the no flying thing is real all throughout the ring (which would be fucking awesome) or only when out of bounds.Kagari wrote:I was planning to translate this if no one else had gotten to it. I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.

Chances of that happening are slim though

Really hoping something good happens with Gohan, he was in the shadows for most of Super so far, and when he did fight, he jobbed (I'm talking to you, Frieza arc) so this tournament could be a good one for him, and the sky's the limit in super nowadays, so who knows? Just hoping our boy Gohan does well

I'm super hyped for these translations too because it seems like it contains some of the most important information about the arc and akira toriyama's inputemperior wrote:What I was most interested in his the producer's comments about Toriyama's involvment, and also the rules of the tournament which could finally clarify whether the no flying thing is real all throughout the ring (which would be fucking awesome) or only when out of bounds.Kagari wrote:I was planning to translate this if no one else had gotten to it. His treatment in episode 80 was pretty much the best possible thing they could do for him to be honest. He was treated as a competent fighter, he had motivation to train after, and he pretty much won but rules are rules.pacz360 wrote:The dude has been treated well recently he technically won his fight with lavender and impressed the omni kings and his father.TheGreatSaiyaman wrote:Really hoping something good happens with Gohan, he was in the shadows for most of Super so far, and when he did fight, he jobbed (I'm talking to you, Frieza arc) so this tournament could be a good one for him, and the sky's the limit in super nowadays, so who knows? People are flying in the intro. I'm Not sure where this idea you can't fly at people in the ring comes from.emperior wrote:What I was most interested in his the producer's comments about Toriyama's involvment, and also the rules of the tournament which could finally clarify whether the no flying thing is real all throughout the ring (which would be fucking awesome) or only when out of bounds.Kagari wrote:I was planning to translate this if no one else had gotten to it. -Lack of SSJ Black / Toei changing Toriyama's designs-
Toei most likely didn't add SSJ Black because they thought it was pointless. And they are right, even though I don't agree with them ignoring Toriyama's notes.
Black was already confirmed to get stronger after each fight. That's all they need to know to not bother with it, since SSR was coming soon.
I doubt they didn't give him SSJ because they thought people would mistake him with the real Goku. Different clothes are more than enough to distinguish them.
Same reason that giving blue hair to FT Trunks to distinguish him from kid Trunks is a ridiculous thought. Anyone can tell the difference.
They didn't change it most likely because they wanted to please Toriyama and he drew him like that. Purple FT Trunks is still a thing everywhere else.
Ignoring Toriyama's note about SSJ Black that doesn't affect the plot at all is nothing compared to completely change a character design. They won't do that.
If that female Saiyan character looks like that, that's how she is gonna be in the anime.
We don't know if they are two different female characters and if her eyes will remember Broly LSSJ when transformed.
It's not unusual when Saiyans unlock a new SSJ form their eyes get white for a moment until they recover their iris after.
Just happened again when FT Trunks unlocked SS Ikari.
Toei showing her like that it's a easy way to make everyone talk about it. They are not as stupid as some people make them out to be.
As for Goku/Vegeta revert to their old outfits its most likely because they aren't living with Whis anymore. The manga did the same thing.

This confirms that Toriyama is the one who wanted 17 and not because someone at Toei is "a 17 fanboy" like so many airheads were saying.

Who could it be?Also, a hint that the ten characters from the main visual might not actually end up being the final team...?
Dont tell me Buu is going to fall asleep AGAIN like in the U6 tournament.

He also says "Also, a hint that the ten characters from the main visual might not actually end up being the final team...?"
Oh lordy.
Oh lordy.
It'll be Tien or Roshi, I think. Neither or them does much in the OP or ED. If it does happen I wager it'll be Roshi opting out in favor of someone younger and stronger.perucho1990 wrote:Who could it be?Also, a hint that the ten characters from the main visual might not actually end up being the final team...?

So Yamcha might still have a chance?
To be serious, I'm still not big on Kamesennin being on the team, so I'd be fine with a Yamcha substitution.
