Freeza ate said animal, now it fell out. Just a basic/silly sight gag. Freeza's race must have a falty digestive system.

Apparently it has healing properties as well. Freeza ate him in bites and he came out whole,...MAGIC! lol

They should have brought in Supreme Kai as a joke about how he could kill Freza with one blow when he says that the heavens should strike him down.

Ha, I just knew you'd have something special for the disclaimer!

Wow, the whole thing with Piccolo distracting Frieza was a great call-back.
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

Another great episode. 28 and 29 have been my most favorite so far.

I'm not sure why, but the spirit bomb going "omnomnom" in a deep voice as it ate Freeza's attack was fun.
The way things happened with the Ginyu Force on Kaio's planet was very nicely edited. :3 It's been so long since I've seen the actual Z episode that at first I thought Recoome landing head-first into the planet was an edit.
I had a feeling Kuririn was going to die in this ep once I heard he was the disclaimer announcer.
I second the "hands in the air like you just don't care". X3
It's enjoyable having Goku singing here.
I'm genuinely surprised that the ssj transformation didn't happen this episode.
I can see how 29 was originally supposed to be a part of 28; it feels like the second half, I'm not sure how to explain it though, it just does feel that way to me.
On hiatus.

Ohmygoshyouguysdidtheginyuforcefillerthatwasthegreatestthingever!
Seriously, I thought it was handled really well.
The opening with Lanipator was cool, so was the whole Goku holding a grudge against Piccolo thing. Freeza's thoughts before he (almost) died was interesting. LK had a great performance. The ending was cool. "Can't you take a joke?" I broke out laughing at Kuririn's smiley face.

Nice episode, as always. Good job! :D

Oh, and by the way, what was the song being sung when Recoome landed in the blood fountain? Was it a real song, or something you guys made up?

The whole Goku and Piccolo charging my attack parallel was genius! And "Can't you take a joke? :D"

They way they handled the entrance of the Ginyu Force was awesome! I'm glad they didn't just go with how they showed up in the original anime. And the amount of time they spent with it was perfect. I always thought that filler was super ridiculous and they did it justice. :P

I was laughing so hard throughout the entire episode, it was awesome. Special mention to Krillin yelling Goku's strategies out loud multiple times, the throwback to episode 2, and the intro, Krillin's f*** no made me laugh too.

I about lost it when I heard Goku singing 'Mahna Mahna' since I'm in the midst of re-watching The Muppet Show already.

Question: What did the disclaimer say about Kuririn's cheque? I couldn't here it well.

As for the episode, I loved Goku's grudge, "Left leg, right leg, middle leg(?)", God strikes Freeza, Timer, and "Called It".

And finally, Yamcha talks again!

I don't remember it verbatim, but it was something like this.

Krillin: Okay, how was that?
'Okay, not bad. Don't worry about your check though. We'll uh...have your next of kin pick it up.'
Krillin: ...Wait, what?

Was the voice actor for Tenshinhan replaced? He sounded different to me.

Awesome episode, as always.
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

They had better bring that Mahna Mahna song back for when Vegeta is distracting Buu while the Spirit bomb is being charged.
