I'm fine with Precure rebooting each year because I like the world. I like Dragon Ball for the characters, not so much the world, so replacing the characters or retiring them in favor of others would make me quit watching.

It sounds like he simply meant Super is going towards EoZ, which is obvious just looking at the Uub's mentions. Probably another of those things people blow out of proportion, like "Yamamuro announced a new movie".

Because we have no idea what their characters like? People need to remove their GT characterizations out of their minds, that's not how they would be written in Super.

We've only seen the "canon" Pan and Uub for 3 episodes in EOZ.

I'm watching the show for the characters, which is why I'd enjoy a new and interesting protagonist if they did attempt it. Which they most likely not, remember the last time Toriyama tried to pass on the torch?

It's called developing his character. For all we know, Oob could be an even better character than Goku.

It doesn't matter what they do and how he turns out, he's not replacing Goku nor will he get the same amount of screen time as he and Vegeta. The franchise is the biggest its ever been and something like that would kill it.

Then I don't know how you watched DBZ, because it was already a "next gen" series with Gohan getting a lead role in nearly every saga, then Trunks/Goten getting significant amount of screentime in the Buu saga.

Then I don't know how you watched DBZ, because it was already a "next gen" series with Gohan getting a lead role in nearly every saga, then Trunks/Goten getting significant amount of screentime in the Buu saga.

Gohan was the only kid on the show for like two sagas in a row. and Goten didn't even get a character when he was the focus along with Trunks, Both Toei and Toriyama don't have plans for him and as well as present Trunks.

However, if it's true it makes me happy. Really want to see how they tie everything together and what stories await us past that. They can't keep everything in this gap and with new characters and no restraints the possibilities get even more interesting.

Also, fuck no to Goku being replaced. He's the heart and soul of this franchise. Sure, flesh people out, give them their own stories, but don't even think about retiring the guy. I really don't get this mentality. With a young generation, actually well developed (unlike say Goten and Trunks), moving Goku's story forward gets even easier, not prone to sidelining. There's enough characters that can get replaced to make way for new ones.

Honestly, i agree with the sentiment here, i mean, i've always pictured super's ending with a big fight between Goku and Vegeta in which they both kill each other (taking the db online route).
But i wouldn't mind a new generation, but the thing is that for it to work for me it would need to happen like a two hundred or more years in the future, i wouldn't be able to stand the story taking place with both Goku and Vegeta or other characters such as Gohan and etc being all alive and well. Something similar happened with Inazuma eleven (which i loved as a kid); once Inazuma eleven go appeared, i kinda lost any interest, the only thing keeping me in was the desire to see some of the old cast as grown ups.

I'd take it with a grain of salt until people come up with more sources. But with Bra being born and them spending a pretty sizable amount of time talking about Uub recently it wouldn't surprise me if next arc or the arc after that take us to the end of Z.

Because the japanese fans didnt like that Gohan lost his "edge"? They disliked that Gohan turned out to be a pacifist, they wanted him to remain as smug as his Cell Saga self(for a reason he got the number 1 spot in the 1993 popularity poll).

We only know that Z ending is still canon, but if super will past EoZ or no is not confirmed at all.

I've got no problem theorizing about it, but I'll gladly wait for official announcements before I get ready to pack for something like dropping Super because the cast I care about gets replaced by a next gen cast.

So MAYBE DBSUPER will not have post Eoz Arc.
