Bit, you're a hardcore fan of the Dragon Ball Z Kai English dub, aren't you?

What if he is? That doesn't necessarily have anything to do with him having an opposing opinion; him being a fan of the Kai dub is influenced BY the fact that he thinks Colleen is better, not the other way around.dbboxkaifan wrote:It's cool.Gonstead wrote:I respectfully disagree.

Whoops, you're right, just checked a Youtube clip to be sure. To be honest I had bad initial impressions on her at first because her performance in Raging Blast 2 seemed rather off to me but after giving Kai a chance I've really warmed up to her.Gonstead wrote:Colleen actually deepens her voice as Gohan aged.Insertclevername wrote:I'm curious to see (or hear...) if MasakoX will give a slight change in his Gohan performance during the Artificial Human arc, because I'm pretty sure (not 100%) that Masako Nozawa deepened her voice ever so slightly to sound more like Gokuu's. But I know in some regards you do follow the dub, where both Nadoly's and Colleen's voice stayed the same, so it will be interesting which route he takes
PS, 29 was great

That's precisely why ordinary men pursue the concept of perfection, it's infatuation. If something is truly perfect, that's IT! The bottom line becomes there is no room for imagination! No space for intelligence or ability or improvement! Do you understand? To men of science like us, perfection is a dead end, a condition of hopelessness. Always strive to be better than anything that came before you but not perfect! Scientist's agonize over the attempt to achieve perfection! That's the kind of creatures we are! We take joy in trying to exceed our grasp, in trying to reach for something that in the end, we have to admit may in fact be unreachable!"
I wonder if there is going to be a gag behind it, like the champion of Christmas/False SSJ one. If they do, it'll be kinda hard to keep it going through the rest of the series, depending on what it is of course.Kaboom wrote:I can't wait to see how Abridged-Goku will act as a Super Saiyan compared to his character beforehand. What would be funny is if he turns into a complete jerk as a Super Saiyan, which would stick throughout the Androids arc until he and Gohan become Full-Power Super Saiyans during the Cell arc. Along with that gained control and reduced stress would be a return to Goku's light-hearted goofy attitude.Insertclevername wrote:I wonder if there is going to be a gag behind it, like the champion of Christmas/False SSJ one. That's pretty obvious, but for some reason the FUNimation fanboys like Schemmel's Marvel voice acting.funrush wrote:Goku: Masako>Schemmel
I like his voice acting, he's my favourite Goku in fact.dbboxkaifan wrote:That's pretty obvious, but for some reason the FUNimation fanboys like Schemmel's Marvel voice acting.funrush wrote:Goku: Masako>Schemmel
I am far from a Funimation fanboy and like Schemmel's Goku voice. I may not be that fond of his acting as Goku, though it seems to have gotten better from the Kai clips I've seen, but I do like the voice for him.dbboxkaifan wrote:That's pretty obvious, but for some reason the FUNimation fanboys like Schemmel's Marvel voice acting.

Weren't all the Funimation's voice actors/actresses amateurs when they were hired. I think it was something about cost.dbboxkaifan wrote:TheDevilsCorpse wrote:I am far from a Funimation fanboy and like Schemmel's Goku voice. Schemmel's acting in DBZ's dub was considerably amateur (imo)

MasakoX is more of a combination with Nozawa Masako and Peter Kelamis (Ocean Goku).funrush wrote:I like Masako's Goku because it sounds like Nozawa and Schemmel combined. I like both of their performances, and Masako brings them together.
It's sad when a "serious dub", "official dub" (well it's the official dub of English Kai because Ocean Kai hasn't yet shown up and I'm starting to wonder...), "definitive dub" is inferior to a parody dub.caejones wrote:I think people are forgetting the difference between a parody and a serious dub again.
