I dont understand the complain of Gohan about to reach Blue level when Vegeta himself said that Gohan the biggest potential among the Z-fighters(of course including Goku and Vegeta) which happened way back in pre FnF.

A proper payoff for Gohan is if he faces Toppo, the man who tanked Blue Goku Kamehameha with no dmg, because if he faces Jiren he has very low chance in winning, unless Tori decides to go full Cell Saga and have Gohan vs Jiren as the final fight.

I was watching the opening of Kai(Cell Games one), and funny how it was implying Goku vs Cell was the final fight of the arc.

I really want to get across I do not hate people getting stronger for no reason. Hell Roshi has some weird ass purple aura thing going on next episode, so I can buy he gained a ton of power from some mystical object that is making him fight Goku. It looks like they'll build that up. I'd be ok with that. I'd be singing a different tune if Freeza and 17 had a better story going for them. But they don't. They feel so fake and tossed in for cool factor, rather than to actually build the characters up.

I hope Gohan is the start and return of set up, build up, and pay off. At least he seems to be following that path. Set up from early as Freeza returning, to paying off in the tournament or later. I feel bad for 17 and Freeza as they along with Super Saiyan Bardock, are the definition of being whored out by their bodies and popularity, rather than organically growing.
Thats the main problem, its not just about powerlevel inconsistency but with how they got to reach that power, with Gohan yeah I wouldnt like it if he reaches the same realm of power that Goku who for so long trained and even had help to achieve such feats, but if they actually had a good story as to how he got that strong like say namekian book of Legends that Piccolo found and that it was able to help Gohan too in some way in training or meditating, I wouldnt have such a problem with it but knowing Super's track record on how they handle these things, expect the worst, "How did I get this power? oh... I trained in the mountains for about ?hrs." or if they just trained with Whis and he put them in that weird RoSAT looking dimension with some little pointers from him on how they can achieve new heights, the problem is all their gains came from one thing "I trained" Krillin with gym equipments, Piccolo "unknown probably meditating" 17 in the woods playing yogi bear. I remember Boo also trained and he got a bit faster while maintaining his strength.
I just hope they dont get caught up in the moment and pull another BS with Gohan, I woulda prefered him being a scholar than getting the Future Trunks treatment.

Gohan won't be at blue level anyway. 17 isn't either.

Goku is holding back.

17 in the woods playing yogi bear.
Christ I laughed way too hard upon seeing that XD. I am using that from now on . I imagine now 17 chasing Yogi Bear for years, as he keeps taking picnic baskets. Goku asks how 17 got so strong and he replies "Push ups, sit ups, and drinking plenty of juice."

But the only thing I disagree with is I'll enjoy terrible bullshit, over doing nothing at all personally.

Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

The problem with Gohan is that it's all too much in too little time. If they had kept the plotline of him training after RoF and already having Mystic by the time of the preliminaries it would've been better since they have teased him coming back throughout the series and he would've been training over the arcs and now he would just need to learn god ki in 40 hours either through Whis, Goku or going to the rosat. But him not only regaining his former strenght but also getting up to Goku lever of power in so little time is just too quick even if they are trying to push a narrative where it has more to do with his mentality compared to his raw strenght and potential.

Because Gohan was SIGNIFICANTLY weaker than Goku just HALF A DAY ago. That's the problem. We're supposed to believe that in HALF A DAY he gained all this power to challenge SSB Goku? i hope you guys know this is just pure fan service.

My bad, I like calling him android 17, Cell is the ultimate/perfect android only when he has absorbed 17 and 18, he is imperfect otherwise and thats what their purpose are, 17 and 18 to be absorbed by Cell to create the perfect android.
I dont have a problem with 17 being strong, I want him to be strong because U7's gonna need all the help it can get, that includes an artificial human who has infinite stamina that can create barriers (the help and team plays they can do with that ability of his) what I didnt like is how vague they were with his boost, it all came from an interview, his backstory on how he got powerful could have been handled better considering they even gave him a 2 part episode like have the poachers be some really powerful beings and claim that 17 was always fighting against such powerful foe's, but no... we got a lying toad that cant even fight, if thats what 17 had to deal with on a regular basis then I dont see how he even got powerful. I know you'll say training but the leap he went through without an actual mention of a threat or a big enough motive is lackluster to say the least.

Yep and I'm perfectly fine with it ESPECIALLY after what happened with Future Trunks. Toei is really going out of their way to build up Gohan and please the fans - that's fine. They want him to be relevant going forward. I'm watching this show for fun so as long as they continue to present cool things I'm okay with it.

I see where you're coming from and i get it,you're confused because they didn't give a full proper explanation but nothing suggests they won't do it later on.

Sad thing is i would have been happy for Gohan obtaining this kind of power if the same people being excited about him right now didn't give 17's power up such a hard time,i rarely go by logic in db,this is a show about aliens, talking pigs and a dragon that can bring people to life, the only reason i'm ranting is because hypocrisy.

Krillin and #17 fighting a SsjB Goku, Roshi being able to fight Goku, Gohan seemingly being able to fight Goku in the next episode or 2 & keeping the universe's destruction a secret from Vegeta even though it would lead him to train and get stronger.
Are we still pretending Krillin is even with SSB Goku ?

We literally know nothing about next episode of how much effort Goku is using.

17 and Goku were bruh holding back. Just like SSG Goku and Beerus were holding back. Is SSG Goku as strong as Beerus?

We know nothing about the Gohan situation.

The Vegeta one doesn't make sense, I agree.

I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.

You shouldn't take it so personal. I love 17, I'm glad he's back in the story but after episode 86 aired I knew it was wise to avoid people crying about power scaling because it's pointless.

The real problem of powering up gohan Imo is the fact is not necessary, because the Top establish mind≥power, but why the hell there powering up their character to ridiculous height,is just feel odd, I like gohan and everything but I just feel like powering him up is unnecessary, ultimate is all right same goes for#17,he also didn't need a ridiculous power up

The whole Gohan potential thing has reached idiotic levels. When you can become a better fighter than someone who has spent their entire life fighting and training and not only become better but do it within a day....that isn't potential. Its really idiotic writing is all.

I love this show and I'd like Gohan to get some time but for him to be on a level higher than Goku or Vegeta would be HORRIBLE. Why even train with Gods? Just go to school and have a family...don't train...if something comes up you'll be strong enough in two days. See how STUPID that sounds?

That's pretty much Gohan writing in a nutshell. His "Potential" allows him to be as strong as he needs to be for whatever the plot needs of him. It's why he has his potential unlocked 3 times. It's why he would usually "rage" his way into a much bigger power than he should have had.

That being said, I don't really see Gohan being stronger than Goku and Vegeta and I don't really get how anyone thinks he will. Just because he is trying doesn't mean he will succeed. Unless his potential says otherwise.

I'm really looking forward to seeing Piccolo and Gohan team up in a tag battle against Goku and Tien. Goku and Tien teaming up is something that has never happened, and the tease of his potential new abilities meaning he can keep up leave me very intrigued. Gohan has been training off-screen with Piccolo since the end of the Resurrection F, so I really have no issue with him getting stronger.
