I'm relieved then. I was worried that Roshi was only there because Toriyama alone wanted him there. As long as Roshi's got fans also wanting him on the team I'm good with it.

Chiaotzu is probably the only Z fighter that basically no one cares about. Seriously who care about him? I know I don't.

It's weird though, Toei always included him in wide shots with the Z Fighters yet he doesn't ever fight himself, it's almost as if Toei wants to use him but can't. Honestly I always wanted to see him get a buff in his telekinetic abilities just to see him become the Jean Gray of Dragon Ball, I mean why not? Would've helped put some diversity on the team since everyone else used mostly brute force to win fights.

There's obviously more out there. But there's even more that would choose other characters over Muten Roshi, myself included.

To be honest, I like the ten members chosen.

Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Piccolo were all required.

It's really cool to see Buu, #18, Krillin fighting again.

And I'm glad they didn't leave out Tien and Roshi.

Adding in #17 was a nice touch too. I think they hit a homerun with the picks.

I like all the characters chosen too. The only way I'd make it better is if Roshi got replaced by Yamcha, and 18 by a potara fusion of Goten and Trunks. But, I see why they did what they did.

Heroes has "spoiled" some things before: I remember Goku having a potara in a DBH trailer where he fights Rosè Black, before Vegetto appeared, and Zamasu appeared with Black before episode 57 in a DBH trailer (the trailer where Goku fights Black)

What do you think of this? Could Goku's new form really be his base covered in this new Red ki?

I like all the characters chosen too. The only way I'd make it better is if Roshi got replaced by Yamcha, and 18 by a potara fusion of Goten and Trunks. But, I see why they did what they did.

Goten and Trunks don't fit in to this team and are the next generation. Yamcha is the big one missing. If 17 never came back then Yamcha would be in easily.

I wouldn't be surprised if they did they also leaked ssb Goku and the grey alien name (Jiren)
And my theory on the new form (if there is one) is that goku uses a different type of ki because he couldn't sense U9 so I'm taking that as a hint

It is always funny to me that Yamcha and Chiaotzu are always put with the rest of the fighters in the openings/endings, yet they don't do any actual fighting in Super. Yamcha especially, look at where he is in all the openings/endings, he's usually put in with all the other fighters standing next to them.

They don't bother to do that for characters like Yajirobe.

Roshi's participation in a tournament with people with god like power and abilities never made much sense. In any sense of realism Roshi would be crushed like a spec of dust. Sure, you can probably say the same for the other humans, but at least they were strong enough to go toe to toe with the strongest beings in the universe.

Roshi taking out some of Freeza's weak henchmen is believeable, but seeing him fight with characters all above the level of Super Saiyan? When Roshi could not even stop King Piccolo back in Dragonball? It's just unbelieveable he could stand a chance.

TBF none of whats happening right now makes sense, for some reason teaming up now has its perks when Goku+Piccolo V Raditz was a massive stomp and the gap wasnt even that big compared to the present gaps, now we have Krillin pushing God Goku's wave, 18 kicking God Goku's wave, 17 able to hold back against SSJB, Gohan who simply trained to regain his Ultimate form for a few hours and now has a chance to surpass Goku or rather they're hyping it up.... none of this makes sense, this arc makes no sense, its a fanservice arc to bring back the old casts for one last ride (probably)

I also dont like Roshi strength being retconned, for me one of the worst things the show has done. But for some reason Toriyama likes him, so anything blame Toriyama for this bad retcon.

Its also one of the reason why he should just give full control to Toyble and the Dragon Ball Room.

At the end of the video there are 2 cards with the word "Secret" one of those is probably Goku's new form, theres also a date near it 5/11 maybe 5/9 Goku day they show his new form and 5/11 comes the card.

Cards for Jiren and Caulifla maybe? Jiren's already in the game as a boss battle or something and Heroes is really quick to roll out new stuff.

Still kicked his hands that was emitting the wave, normally that shouldnt even gaze him.
Not just him, all their strength and what the lore established got retconned.

Why a potara though?
It's also having the same time limit issues..
Unless you want it for a little bit extended time, which won't matter in the long run, they will defuse before the tournament times up in both cases

Well going by the intro Goku will have a red aura. Wither this is a return if SSG or another form is unknown.

Back before Super started I used to think that SSB was Goku accessing the realm of the gods but not fully taping into the SSG power the slept within him. While SSB is powerful it has never displayed the abilities SSG did, regeneration and the ability to cancel out ki attacks from the movie. Also in Super the forms power just seemed to keep growing until the time limit was reached. So I for one would love it to be SSG.

On the other hand it could be linked to kaio-ken. Goku could finally over come his limit of SSB KKx10 and reach a new power.

But we will see.

Good point about Yajirobe, this is the stuff that gives me the impression that Toei always wanted to utilize Yamcha and Chaozu more but may have been held back by Toriyama not really wanting to do anything with them, which is a shame since they have neat fighting styles IMO. I mean they even had them both take out members of the Ginyu Force in Z filler, I guess you could say Toei just wants to utilize the Earthlings more in general.

If Yamcha doesn't actually show up to the TOP I'd at least have him and Chaozu help out Goten & Trunks on the island just to give them something to do and make some neat "filler" material off of that, they're basically the definition of advertised extras at this point.
