Just watch it turn out to not be Luffy now. XD

Yeah it looks like they're going to add One Piece in the future. Microsoft Word goes haywire anytime I copy or paste any Japanese text or any other language for that matter. To be honest I wish the software could translate it.SSj_Rambo wrote:Yeah, I sort of thought so, but was too lazy to look up an image of him and double check.Chuquita wrote:That's Luffy. *Points to silhouette*.SSj_Rambo wrote: Hmm, seems to be working fine now. Is anyone else having problems?
And it looks like they plan on including another series in their online manga collection... only I have no clue what it is:
Unless there's some other brimmed-hat-donning main character of a Jump manga series that I don't know about. ^^;
Anyway, I tried using Microsoft Word to read the encoding of the packet files that the chapters come in and somehow figure out how to extract just the images, and got stuck here:
And I wish they would add Naruto since this year marks the 10th anaversary of the series' seiralization in Jump. Or Bleach would be nice too
No problem! Glad to be able to help.DNA wrote:Thanks a lot for the downloads SSj_Rambo! You're the best!
Well, I was just using Word's automated conversion attempt to get a look at how the file is built, but I have basically zero experience in file encoding/script, especially one made in Japan by a small-scale manga company.coinmanmat wrote:Microsoft Word goes haywire anytime I copy or paste any Japanese text or any other language for that matter. Really, your going to have to disect the code the browser uses to read the .sva file, and use it to manually access just the images (from what I can tell). Now, when I tried opening the file with Word, I got a frickin' 27,788 page Word Document (8.33mb, anyone want a copy?).

As for your problems with Japanese text and MS Word, I suggest installing Microsoft's Japanese Language pack.

I know and I think its stupid too. This is what i don't get, on the North American SJ website ( www.shonenjump.viz.com ) you can read manga there without having to install the manga browser but on that WSJ site you have to install the browser. That just dosent make senseTekkaman-James wrote:I second that remark! Thanks a ton, SSj_Rambo! Even though it's coming from Jump, I just can't stand when companies want me to install proprietary software to fully enjoy their website. Can't wait to start reading this!DNA wrote:Thanks a lot for the downloads SSj_Rambo! You're the best!
I don't know if anyone noticed, but chapter three is up in both languages, and now that it is the weekend I've gotten a chance to take screenshots of each page for both versions, and since both versions of chapter 2 has been removed from the official sites, I am no longer offering downloads of them:
English Site
Japanese Site
Chapter 003 English DL
Chapter 003 Japanese DL
Even though some of the pages are crooked, it's nice to see some classic images in nice, smooth digital colors:

so, why is chapter 2 down? And crooked pages?
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
Makes enough sense. However, what's annoying about that is that I find it highly likely that those back issues are unlikely to see the light of day unless someone saves them. Still, you can't be to blame; I'd take them down if I'd done the work too.

Yeah, and I have the screenshots I took saved on my HDD, just in case they're ever needed. And as for your question on the crooked pages, I doubt the pages were scanned in, but that seems like the most likely explanation. Either that or when the illustrator was coloring the pages in, they messed with the alignment and forget to fix it; but that seems unlikely considering how many pages are off, spanning from the first chapter.bkev wrote:Makes enough sense. Chapter 4 is up, and all the chapters are actually available for viewing - just change the URL a bit. They're not deleted from the site.
Though, is there something weird going on with these files? Upon viewing them, the files automatically delete themselves when I close the Jumpland Browser.

Since Ch. #2 is back, are there any... differences between the editions?
