Although usually one of the wishes turns out to be pointless after you've played a couple of universes
I am Darkness Beyond Blackest Pitch
Deeper than the Deepest Night
I am the Sea of Chaos
The Source of All Chaos
I am The Lord of Nightmares

Just got Budokai 3, and I'm trying to get Uub. However, I can't manage to pull off the Genki-Dama. It says to hit all four buttons in Hyper Mode, but when I do it just goes into Dragon Rush. I have the Genki-Dama capsule equipped, and I feel like a retard asking for help, but I've almost tossed my controller into my TV twice.

One of the first things you should do is make sure you've got a controller set-up where the four face buttons are set to a single button (like R2). It's sooooo much easier to press a single button than to try and make sure you actually hit all four at once. It might even have this set by default, but it wouldn't hurt to check.

Also, make sure you've got attached:

- Kaio-Ken
- Super Saiya-jin
- Genki-Dama

Just like in the show, you'll perform the Genki-Dama as a regular form (or Kaio-Ken), and then have enough energy to transform into a Super Saiya-jin and push it forward after it's been thrown. It's tough to try and co-ordinate it all the first couple times, but it'll eventually work.

Make sure you're in Kaio-Ken or regular though. SSj or higher will make you do Dragon Fist. Also you need to win the power struggle for it to work properly (i.e. turn SSj and push it at your opponent). If you use this move and win the power struggle against Kid Buu in Goku's DU, you can continue the story and unlock Uub.

I seem to be having problems with passwords. I've written a few day correctly (to my knowledge) but when I enter them in I keep getting errors.

I know all about the capsules and only being in normal or Kaio-ken, my problem is actually executing the move. I get Buu to red on his fatigue meter, then I get close and press all four buttons like it says in the manual, but all it does is Dragon Rush again. How do you actually perform the Genki-Dama?

Press L2 on the PS2 controller. Enjoy.

Don't you have to be *IN* "Hyper Mode" to perform the Genki-Dama in the first place...?

So yeah. Go into "Hyper Mode"... pressing the same button/combination, again, will initiate the Genki-Dama.

Yeah, I was doing all that. My problem was I didn't notice the "Must have 5 or more Ki gauges." And to think I've been playing video games for 16 years.

Ahh, that would explain a lot.

But doing it against Buu is very hard. It took me multiple attempts before I managed to pull it off. Buu is a very cheap and cheesy little b*****d who manages to hit you with 101 different combos, most of which done when you've "fall down" in the air :x
