Budokai 2 would have been a lot better if they'd tweaked DW more. It takes too long, is too repetitive, and doesn't have enough character options. Other than that, it is pretty awesome.

<Kaboom> Neither does Rita
<Xyex> Good point.

You know it to be true.
Oh, the Mario Party board game with Dragon Ball characters.

Yeah, that sucked.

However, I'm still waiting for a fighting game to have a full-on Legacy Of Goku style story mode, complete with cutscenes.
So basically, the DBZ equivalent of Mortal Kombat: Armageddon?

I liked being able to search for the dragonballs over the world map in Budokai 3, it was a sweet feature along with the free flight. Only thing that ruined it was the cheap cutscenes with the speech bubbles, some Budokai 1 style scenes and maybe some narration would have been nicer.

Did Tenkaichi 2 have the free flight feature too? I haven't played any but the third one.
Wish I'd come up with a better username now, ha!

It did, though it was just a knockoff of Budokai 3's.

I don't recall having a problem with any of the DBZ games' story modes. Some were just better than others. I also never understood the logic of Budokais 2 & 3 not having the same type of cutscenes as Budokai 1.

Are you refering to Armageddon's konquest mode? I liked it, lol.

Budokai 2's story would've been great if it had let you select which stage to play after your first time through. Having to play the whole thing over to get that one capsule on the last stage wa too damn irritating.
