I figured the boxes take a long time to get released because frame by frame restoration is a very time consuming process for 42 episodes.

Except the Dragonboxes were done by Pony Canyon, oh, at least 7 years ago.
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
That was quite humorous, especially considering how FUNi's attempt at "remastering" Z turned out!

People call this a "delay", but wasn't this pretty much the release schedule back when the orange bricks were being produced? If memory serves, they came out 3 times a year:

February
May
September

So this would actually be pretty consistent with how FUNi has been putting out the DBoxes (except for #1, which had the odd November release).

In 2008, they released 6 and 7 within 2 months of each other, (6 came out in September, 7 came out in November), but that was because Season 7 was so short and mostly "filler" (as in, none of the important stuff, not just shit Toei added in).

Yeah, I started figuring it, and considering that Season 9 came out in May '09, there would've had to have been one extra box in the pattern. So I could assume Season 8 came out in February? In that case, it still fits in the release schedule (at least until Season 7).

Imperfect cell is the front, it's on the new One Piece DVD in the trailers.
Next to get; Leged of Saiyan figures and Freeza's force

If anyone sees
Any of the Legend of Saiyan line going cheapish
Or any other Banpresto DBZ figure :)

If anyone has a cooler steelbook dvd that wants to sell it (prefer new but used is fine) when/if the dragon box movies comes out contact me :)

@oXdanXo: Can you post a pic or a video of the Dbox four commercial?

Awesome!
Although, I would have preferred a Perfect Form Cell. But I suppose that probably won't happen.

I pretty much figured it was going to be Imperfect Cell since they are using all the images from the original Dragon Boxes so the only ones left are imperfect cell, gohan (pre-hyperbolic time chamber), Piccolo and Ssj Goku. Considering they are going to try and put each character to fit as best with the episodes it will be Imperfect Cell, Gohan, Piccolo and Ssj Goku

FUNimation isn't doing the restoration themselves. They're taking the Japanese restored footage and releasing it stateside.

They're not. They're just releasing it on DVD for us.

So it ends with the episode "Goku and Gohan... The Hero Father and Son's Ultimate Level-Up".

Nice stop for this set because after that episode, the Cell Games tournament starts (after filler of course). :)

I think Tom Dubois of "The Boondocks" said it best for me when FUNimation announced the release of the domestic Dragonbox, after buying all of the Season Sets: "MOTHERFUCK!!! SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT, PRICKS, SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIIIIIIIT!"
