Damn, the art on this page is spot-on.

New page, looks good!

Man, she's really pumping these out as opposed to a few weeks ago.
Anyway, it's a nice looking page as usual. I'm wondering if that voice off-panel from Kuriza is Freeza in that last panel...

Yeah, I'm sure it's Freeza.
Man, I love this story.

Page 43:
The art is really good on this page.

It looks like was right about the off-panel voice. Kuriza is in serious trouble now....
EDIT: She also posted a wallpaper for Universe F in celebration of the end of Chapter 1:

Bodacious way to end the chapter. I love DeadlyChestnut's style and cinematic timing.

I agree. Her pacing and timing is excellent. Better than most amateur comic book artists I know. But why...JulieYBM wrote:Bodacious way to end the chapter. I love DeadlyChestnut's style and cinematic timing.
Does everything...
Have to be...
SO FREAKING RED!
Re: DeadlyChestnut's "Universe F" fan comic
I dunno, I like the look. It's as if it's an atmospheric affect based on the sun and whatnot. That or it's an artistic representation of the bloodlust of those in the story.Scarz wrote:I agree. I love this. There is such attention to detail...Dodoria is watching with a smug look while Zarbon just looks into the distance...as it should be.

Agreed. What? Is it like red fog, or something?Scarz wrote:I agree. Her pacing and timing is excellent. Better than most amateur comic book artists I know. But why...JulieYBM wrote:Bodacious way to end the chapter. I love DeadlyChestnut's style and cinematic timing.

Isn't planet Vegeta red? Maybe she has used it as an inspiration.
Some planets have a blue atmosphere, some have a green one, and others have red ones.
At least in Dragonball.

"Shadow Puppetry," eh? This might be a very intriguing chapter. Looking forward to it.

Looks like Coola's coming into the mix. Maybe some sibling rivalry?

I liked the persistence of the red; served well to tie each page together as its own art piece (and then even forward and backward to other pages), and set the mood. (Also I kind of assumed it was supposed to remind us of Planet Vegeta, at least on a subconscious level...)
Excited for the next chapter~

Wow, DeadlyChestnut's artwork in this fan comic is just brilliant, especially how it's unique, different to Toriyama's art style and features gorgeous, vibrant colours. The story and characters are great too (I like how Prince Vegeta has his own gang of Saiyans). I can't wait for the next chapter.
And this wallpaper just looks...awesome.

That's going as my desktop background as soon as I next get on my laptop.
Yeah, I love that cinematic shot, especially how the red wine splashing on the floor looks like blood. Probably one of my favourite panels in that chapter.SSJSteve wrote:This shot of Freeza at the bottom is fantastic.
