I don't see what the problem with the narrator is. He sounds a lot like Kyle Hebert. I'll admit he overacts a bit, but so does narrator in the original. :P

I've seen FUNi's GT dub twice with the Japanese score, and it didn't bother me. Then again music makes all the difference as I had seen most of the first arc with Menza's BGM, and by episode 12 I fell asleep, but once I watched it with the original score I made it through the whole series. I honestly don't care about FUNi's old habit of making Goku a superhero as long as the gist of the story is there that's all I care about, but there are a few problems I have with GT's dub, and they are Linda Young's Freeza obviously, all the unnecessary talking in the final moments of episode 64 (I do however like Goku's "til we meet again guys." Sean delivered that well.), Andrew Chandler's Narrator was pretty bad as well, Elise Baugman's Pan was OK, but I like the girl who played her in the Blue Water dub better as it was a much better fitting voice. At least it is better than Season 3 of the Z dub, but I think anything is better than that.

It's not even the voice, it's just the way he talks. It's too..."ominous."

Actually....maybe the "Geeeeee Teeeeee" part is the only thing that bothers me :P

It's especially unfitting when you switch over to the English dub + Japanese music track. His voice doesn't mesh at all with the happy-go-lucky recap music and whatnot.

So I have been watching the Super 17 Saga and I noticed Krillin telling 17 "You hated Dr. Gero because he gave you human emotions." And I said what? That doesn't make sense. I know that in the original, 17 and 18 were humans that were kidnapped by Gero and turned into androids, right?

So what was the line that Krillin said to 17? It temporarily broke his brainwashing when he said it.

Um, have you ever heard of "Subtitles"? People watch the original Japanese version because they have English-Translated subtitles on the DVDs, which is why some people call it the "Sub" version

Incidentally, in the Blue Water dub the narrator is too enthusiastic. He almost sounds like this guy.
